Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Hodgepodge

Hello my friends, I'm back to share the last of my makes for the YouTube Live launch of Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Everyday 2 Collection using the Hodgepodge stamp set and the Spots, Labels and Wheel Layering Stencils from the last release and I'm sure you'll agree what a fabulous collection it is. If you missed the Live, you can always catch up with the products and the amazing projects from the Makers over on Tim's YouTube Channel or Blog. I decided to have some fun and make 3 cards in a hodgepodge style using bits and pieces from this amazing and so versatile background stamp.

To begin I inked the Hodgepodge background stamp with Black Soot Distress Archival and stamped twice on to 8.5" x 11" Distress Watercolor card, ready to trim out the sections to be popped up on each card. For the first card, I die-cut a circle from Distress Watercolor card and with the Hodgepodge stamp still on the carrier sheet, inked with Black Soot Distress Archival and pressed the circle on to the stamp.
I applied Peacock Feathers and Prize Ribbon Distress Oxide inks through the Spots Layering Stencil using Distress Tiny blending tools and with the stencil still in place applied Distress Translucent Texture Paste using a palette knife. I added shading to areas of the background with Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide ink and Scorched Timber Distress ink, trimmed out sections from the stamped background, added to the circle popped up on foam squares to add dimension and fixed to a black card blank die-cut with a larger circle die.
I trimmed Distress Watercolor card to 4" x 6", masked off the edges, stamped a section of the background stamp inked with Black Soot Distress Archival ink and tore around the edge. I repeated the stencilling using Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide ink and Distress Transparent Texture Paste with the Labels Layering Stencil, coloured the background as before and added the trimmed out sections. I matted the panel on to Distress Black HeavyStock trimmed to 4.7/8" x 6.7/8" and fixed to a 5" x 7" white card blank.
I trimmed Distress Watercolor card to 4.7/8" x 6.7/8" and stamped small sections of the background stamp on the panel, inked with Black Soot Distress Archival ink. I inked the whole panel with Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide ink, spritzed with water to create water droplets and added splatters of Prize Ribbon Distress Oxide ink. I applied Distress Transparent Texture Paste through the Labels Layering Stencil over the stamped background sections. Once the paste was dry, I applied Scorched Timber Distress ink over the stencilled areas, fixed the trimmed out sections, inked around the edges with Scorched timber and fixed in place, popped up on foam squares. To finish I fixed the panel to a 5" x 7" white card blank.

Happy Crafting and have fun when your stamps arrive.

Simon Says - 4 Legged Friends

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

and the theme for this week is...
4 LEGGED FRIENDS
I created cards for cat lovers  using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Mischievous Thinlits, Stampers Anonymous French Garden and Deco Floral Layering Stencil, Simon Says Divine Peony Wafer Dies and Simon Says Graceful Flowers and co-ordinating dies for the sentiment.
I created 2 backgrounds on 4" x 5.1/4" panels of Distress Watercolor card using Stormy Sky and Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide inks.
I inked the leaf branch stamp from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous French Garden with Black Soot Distress Archival ink and stamped at the top of the panels.
I applied Distress Opaque Texture Paste through the Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Deco Floral Layering Stencil.
Once the paste was dry, I sprayed the panel lightly with Twisted Citron Distress Spritz.
I die-cut the Simon Says Divine Peony stem from Distress Watercolor card, coloured with Twisted Citron Distress Oxide ink using a Simon Says Round Detail Blending Brush and fixed to the bottom of the panels with Distress Collage Medium.
I die-cut Tim Holtz/Sizzix Mischievous Thinlits from Distress White and Black HeavyStock, layered slightly offset to create a shadow and fixed to the panel with foam squares to create dimension.
I coloured Distress Watercolor card lightly with Dusty Concord Distress Oxide ink, spritzed with water and die-cut using the smallest petal die from Simon Says Divine Peony and fixed on the panels with 3D foam squares. I added the flower centres die-cut from Distress Black HeavyStock.
I stamped the sentiments from Simon Says Graceful Flowers, inked with Versamark, on to scraps of Distress Black HeavyStock, sprinkled with white embossing powder, heat set and die-cut using the co-ordinating Graceful Flowers sentiment dies.
I fixed the sentiments in place with 3D foam pads and added Trinity Stamps Creamy Vanilla Heart Sprinkles.
To finish I matted the panels on to A2 white card blanks.

Simon Says - Cosmos Duo

Hello my friends, I'm sharing a card made using Simon Says Stamp Cosmos Duo dies, Old Letter background stamp and the sentiment from the Graceful Flowers stamp set, all from the recent Cheering For You release. You can check out all the fabulous products in this release HERE.

I began by colouring Distress Watercolor card with Bundled Sage Distress Oxide ink and die-cut using Simon Says Nested Domed Arches.
I inked Simon Says Old Letter background stamp with Bundled Sage Distress Oxide ink and stamped on to the inner panel to create a tone on tone effect.
I fixed the inner panel to an A2 white card blank die-cut with the largest Nested Domed Arches die, added splatters of Peeled Paint Distress Spritz and fixed the frame in place popped up on 3D foam tape to create dimension.
I die-cut the Simon Says Cosmos Duo from Distress Watercolor card and coloured using Distress Oxide inks and Simon Says Round Detail Blending Brushes.
I added splatters of Peeled Paint Distress Spritz to the flower heads and fixed to the card front using Distress Collage Medium and 3D foam squares.
I stamped the sentiment from Simon Says Graceful Flowers, inked with Intense Black ink, on to a scrap of Distress Watercolor card, coloured lightly with Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide ink and die-cut using the die from the co-ordinating die set.
I inked around the edge of the die-cut sentiment with Scorched Timber Distress Oxide ink, fixed to the card, added black dots to the flower centres with a Sakura Black Glaze Pen and Trinity Stamps Creamy Vanilla Heart Sprinkles.

Have a great weekend whatever you have planned. I'm looking forward to joining Tim and Mario over on Tim's YouTube Channel for the Live launch of 10 new yummy Alcohol Ink colours and no doubt, some amazing demos, tips and tricks from our adorable Professor. Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous - Tidbits

Hello my friends, I'm sharing the set of 4 cards I made for the YouTube Live launch of Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Everyday 2 release using the Tidbits stamp set to create colourful backgrounds.

I smooshed Distress Oxide inks (colours listed below) on to my craft mat, spritzed with water, picked up the ink on a piece of plastic and pressed on to 2 - A2 panels of Distress Watercolor card.
I trimmed an 8.5" x 11" sheet of Distress Watercolor card in half, inked the Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Tidbits stamp set on the carrier sheet with Versamark ink, pressed one of the panels on to the stamp, sprinked with Ranger Fine Detail Embossing Powder and heat set. I re-inked again, sprinkled with Ranger Black Embossing Powder and heat set. I smooshed the same colours of Distress Oxide inks on to my Media Mat, pressed the panels into the inks and dried. I repeatedly tapped the panels on to the remaining ink droplets, drying between layers until I was happy with the backgrounds.
I fixed Tim Holtz/Sizzix Stacked Hexagon Tiles Thinlits (the second largest die in the set) to the panel and die-cut and the result - two backgrounds for the price of one.
Using the die-cut panel as a template, I fixed the hexagons to one of the background panels, trimmed the die-cut panel to 4" x 5.1/4" and fixed to an A2 white card blank. I die-cut the hexagons again from Distress Black HeavyStock and fixed into the negative spaces. I inked the sentiments from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Floristry with Versamark ink, stamped on to the hexagons and a scrap of Distress Black HeavyStock, sprinkled with Ranger White Fine Detail Embossing Powder and heat set.To separate the words, I masked off each word, inked, removed the masking tape and stamped on to the individual hexagons.
I repeated the process with the second background using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Stacked Rectangle Tiles Thinlits.
I placed the die-cut background on to an A2 panel of Distress Watercolor card, traced around the apertures with a pencil and stamped the sentiment from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Floristry inked with Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink.
I used the pencil lines as a guide to fix foam strips to create shaker windows and once the strips were in place, I erased the lines, filled the spaces with sequins and fixed a panel of acetate on top to seal.
I stamped one of the flower images from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous French Garden, inked with Black Soot Distress Archival, on to scraps of Distress Watercolor card and fussy cut. I added the full image to 2 of the cards and the flowerhead and one leaf to the others, popped up on foam squares to add dimension.
I stamped the sentiments from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Floristry on to scraps of Distress Black HeavyStock, inked with Versamark, sprinkled with Ranger White Fine Detail Embossing Powder, heat set and fixed to the panels, popped up on foam squares. I had a change of heart about the sentiment on the shaker card, die-cut another rectangle to fit in the bottom right hand corner to introduce a black element, added the sentiment and fixed in place with Distress Collage Medium.
To finish I matted the panels on to A2 white card blanks.

I'll be back soon to share the last of my makes for the Live, in the meantime, have fun with whatever you're making.
