Tim Holtz - Scribbly Christmas

Hello my friends, Simon Says Stamp have just released 6 new sets of dies to co-ordinate with Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous stamp sets, you can check them out HERE and tune into the Live Launch over on Simon Says Stamp YouTube Channel HERE for lots of inspiration from the amazing samples.

I'm on a mission to get organised for Christmas and decided to make cards and tags using the Scribbly Christmas stamps and co-ordinating dies.
I smooshed Old Paper, Bundled Sage and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide inks on to the craft mat on my Glass Studio Mat, spritzed with water and dragged an A4 sheet of Distress Watercolor card through the inks, dried and tapped back in repeatedly to pick up the remaining droplets of ink, dried between layers until I was happy with the coverage.
I trimmed a 4" x 5.1/4" panel from the sheet, inked one of the trees images with Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide ink, spritzed with water and stamped on to the panel.
I die-cut a circle aperture and inked around the edges with Scorched Timber Distress Ink using a Tiny Blending Tool.
I fixed the panel to Distress Kraft HeavyStock trimmed to be 1/8" larger and added splatters of Flickering Candle Distress Mica Stain.
I inked the same tree image with Mowed Lawn and Scorched Timber Distress Oxide inks, spritzed with water and stamped on to Distress Watercolor card.
I die-cut the trees using the Scribbly Christmas co-ordinating dies, fixed in place with Simon Says Stamp Thin Foam Squares and coloured the stars using Flickering Candle Distress Mica Stain and a small paintbrush.
I smooshed Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide ink on to my craft mat, spritzed with water and used to colour Tim Holtz/Idea-ology Mummy Cloth. I fixed the Mummy Cloth across the panel, added a bow and matted the panel on to a top-folding A2 white card blank.
I inked the sentiment from Scribbly Christmas with Versamark ink, stamped on to a scrap of Distress Kraft HeavyStock, sprinkled with White Embossing Powder, heat set, die-cut with the co-ordinating die and fixed in place with Simon Says Stamp Thin Foam Squares. To finish I added tiny gold pearls from Gina K Mini Pearl Embellishment Mix.
I created the tags from the remaining coloured Distress Watercolor card using tag and circle dies and decorated in the same way as the card using different images and sentiment from the Scribbly Christmas set of stamps and co-ordinating dies.

I'll be back soon to share more makes with the other co-ordinating dies. In the meantime, have fun with whatever you are making.

Simon Says - Masculine

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

The first challenge of the month is when the team showcase one particular company or brand and this week we are all using the fabulous products from Tim Holtz. This gives you the choice to use Tim's products from Ranger, Stampers Anonymous, Sizzix and Idea-ology. You don't have to use these products to join in with the challenge but we would love to see what you make, if you have them in your stash.
We are also welcoming the lovely and talented Pauline C as our Designer In The Spotlight and please pop over to Pauline's Blog for a real treat.
The theme for this week is...
MASCULINE
I created a card using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Large A5 Texture Fade Typewriter, Idea-ology Halloween 2024 and Archives Collage Papers, Gauge Dials, Ephemera Snippets, Paper Dolls Poses and Snarky Small Talk Stickers.
I smooshed Broken China and Faded Jeans on to my media mat, spritzed with water, dragged Distress Watercolor card through the inks, dried and tapped back into the inks repeatedly to pick up the remaining droplets and dried between layers until I was happy with the coverage.
I embossed the panel using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Large A5 3D Typewriter Texture Fade, dragged the Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink pad over the raised areas and coloured the panel edges using a Mini Round Blending Tool.
I added torn strips of Idea-ology Halloween 2024 and Archives Collage Papers using Distress Collage Medium and a Collage Brush.

I trimmed the panel to 4" x 5.1/4" and sanded the edges in places to reveal the white core. I added an Idea-ology Gauge Dial, Ephemera Snippets fixed in place with Distress Collage Medium, Paper Dolls Poses and Snarky Small Talk Stickers popped up on 3D Black Foam Squares to create dimension.

To finish I matted the panel on to Distress Kraft HeavyStock trimmed to A2 and fixed to an A2 white card blank.
