A Flock Of Rainbow Birdies

Hello my friends, I'm back to share a "Flock of Rainbow Birdies" card using Simon Says Stamp Birdies wafer die from the Friend Like You release, Extra Large Dots Stencil and Tim Holtz/Sizzix Alphanumeric Tiny Type Lower Thinlits for the sentiment.

I applied Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide ink through Simon Says Extra Large Dots Stencil using a Mini Round Blending Tool on to an A2 panel of Distress Watercolor card. I die-cut the branch from Distress Black Two-Tone Woodgrain 3 times using Simon Says Birdies Wafer die and fixed in place with Distress Collage Medium. I die-cut the birdies from Distress Watercolor card and fixed to the panel to help with placement. I fixed Sizzix Adhesive Sheet to Distress Black HeavyStock, die-cut the beaks, feet and eyes and fixed on to the birds.
I die-cut again from Distress Watercolor card and coloured lightly with Candied Apple, Ripe Persimmon, Wild Honey, Mowed Lawn, Salty Ocean, Dusty Concord and Villainous Potion Distress Oxide inks using Tiny Blending Tools.  I fixed the birds onto the panel and added the eyes. I coloured a scrap of Distress Watercolor with the same inks using a heavier application, die cut the wings, fixed to the birds and decorated with dots using a Sakura Black Glaze Pen. I die-cut the sentiment from the left over Distress Black HeavyStock using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Alphnumeric Tiny Type Lower Thinlits and fixed to the panel. I trimmed the panel to 3" x 5" and fixed to a 4" x 6" panel of Distress Black HeavyStock. I wound Black/White Bakers Twine around the panel, tied in a bow and matted the panel on to a white card blank. To finish I added dots on the background using a Sakura Black Glaze Pen.

Enjoy your weekend whatever you have planned.

Simon Says - Cozy Birdhouse Card

Hello my friends, I'm sharing a cute birthday card using the Cozy Birdhouse and Birdies Wafer Dies from Simon Says Stamp Friend Like You release, the Happy Wafer die and Birthday Blitz 6" x 8" stamp set from the Birthday Blitz September 2025 card kit for the sentiment and flowers.

I trimmed Distress Watercolor card to 4" x 5.1/4" and stencilled using Simon Says Stamp Square Dance and Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide ink.
I die-cut Simon Says Cozy Birdhouse from Distress Watercolor card, coloured with Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide ink and Scorched Timber Distress Ink and assembled.
I die-cut the bird and branch from Distress Watercolor card, coloured with the same inks as the birdhouse. I fixed the branches to the panel with Distress Collage Medium and the birdhouse and bird popped up on Simon Says Thin Foam Squares to create dimension. I accidentally dropped the Scorched Timber Distress Ink pad on to the top right corner of the panel so I inked around the edges to hide that little faux pas and added splatters of Scorched Timber Distress Ink.
I inked the flowers from Simon Says Birthday Blitz 6" x 8" stamp set with Kitsch Flamingo and Scorched Timber for the centres, stamped on to Distress Watercolor card and fussy cut. There are co-ordinating dies for this stamp set, linked below.
I die-cut Simon Says Happy Wafer Die from a scrap of Distress Watercolor card, coloured with Scorched Timber Distress Ink and fixed across the birdhouse with Distress Collage Medium. I fixed a white hemp twine to the birdhouse and added the flowers popped up on Thin Foam Squares.
I stamped the sentiment from the Birthday Blitz stamp set, inked with Versamark, on to a scrap of Distress Black HeavyStock, sprinkled with White Embossing Powder, heat set, trimmed and fixed to the panel with Thin Foam Squares.
I added dots to the flower centres using a Sakura Black Glaze and a coat of Ranger Glossy Accents. To finish I matted the panel on to an A2 white card blank.

I'll be back tomorrow to share a card made with the Birdies, aren't they cute

Poppin' Corn Birthday Card

Hello my friends, I'm back to share another card using the Poppin' Corn die and Birthday Blitz stamp set from the Simon Says Stamp Birthday Blitz September 2025 card kit along with some old favourites, Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Odds and Ends and Ticket Booth stamp sets, Tim Holtz/Sizzix Ticket Booth Thinlits and Idea-ology Film Strip Ribbon. You can check out the products in the kit, subscribe if you don't already and also purchase individual items from the kit, if you so wish, HERE.

The perfect card to gift a friend some cinema tickets to celebrate their birthday.

I began by creating a neutral background on Distress Watercolor card using Antique Linen and Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide inks.
I inked one of the images from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Odds and Ends stamp set with Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide ink, stamped repeatedly over the background, trimmed to 3.3/4" x 5" and inked around the edges with Gathered Twigs.
I stamped the image from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Ticket Booth on to Simon Says Lipstick Red cardstock, inked with Versamark ink, sprinkled with White Embossing Powder and heat set. I stamped the second image on to Distress Watercolor card, coloured with Antique Linen Distress Oxide ink, inked with Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink and die-cut both using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Ticket Booth Thinlits. I attached the tickets and the Idea-ology Film Strip Ribbon in place with Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher.
I die-cut Simon Says Poppin' Corn from Distress Watercolor card, Lipstick Red and Lemon Chiffon cardstock, shaded the popcorn with Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide ink, assembled and attached to the panel with Simon Says Thin Foam Squares. I trimmed the banner from the Simple Stories Fun Times patterned paper included in the kit, fixed to a thin strip of black cardstock and added to the panel. I stamped the sentiments from Simon Says Birthday Blitz stamp set on to black cardstock, inked with Versamark ink, sprinkled with White Embossing Powder, heat set, trimmed to separate the words and popped up on Thin Foam squares to create dimension.
To finish I matted the panel on to an A2 white card blank.

Have fun with whatever you are making

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

4 LEGGED FRIENDS
I fell down the cute rabbit hole and made a birthday card using the adorable Tim Holtz/Sizzix Oliver Colorize Thinlits, Simon Says Mosaic Petals Layering Stencils and Ear-resisitibly Cute stamp set and co-ordinating dies.
I die-cut the Tim Holtz/Sizzix Oliver Colorize Thinlits from Sizzix Dark Grey, Pink and Black Cardstock and  Distress Watercolor card which I had backed with Sizzix Adhesive Sheets. I coloured some of the sections with Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide ink, inked all the edges with Scorched Timber Distress Ink using a Tiny Blending Tool and assembled.

I used all 5 stencils from Simon Says Mosaic Petals Layering Stencil Set with Kitsch Flamingo, Dusty Concord, Fossilized Amber, Broken China and Abandoned Coral Distress Oxide inks, applied with Distress Tiny Blending Brushes to create the background.
I trimmed the panel to 4" x 5.1/4" and lightly inked the edges with Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide ink using a Tiny Blending Tool. I coloured a scrap of Distress Watercolor card with Broken China and Peeled Paint Distress Oxide inks, die-cut the grass from the Oliver Colorize Thinlits and fixed in place with Distress Collage Medium.
I fixed Oliver in place popped up on Simon Says Thin Foam Squares. I stamped the sentiment and tiny flowers from Simon Says Ear-Resistibly Cute stamp set, inked with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink, on to scraps of Distress Watercolor card, coloured lightly with Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide ink, die-cut using the Ear-resistibly Cute co-ordinating dies and fixed to the panel with Thin Foam Squares.
To finish I used a Sakura Black Glaze Pen to colour the flower centres and matted the panel on to an A2 white card blank.

Happy Birthday Ducky

Hello my friends, I'm back to share another birthday card using the Rubber Ducky die, Birthday Sentiments Embossing Folder, Birthday Blitz 6" 8" stanp set and Simple Stories Fun Times 6" x 8" patterned papers from Simon Says Stamp Birthday Blitz September 2025 card kit. Just in case you are wondering about the blog title, Ducky and Duck are cockney terms of endearment mostly heard in the East End of London. You can find all the details of what is included in the kit, subscribe if you don't already and purchase individual items from the kit HERE.

I trimmed one of the patterned papers from Simple Stories Fun Times 6" x 8" paper pad to 4" x 5.14" and fixed to an A2 white card blank, fussy cut two of the tags from the patterned papers and fixed in place with Simon Says Pawsitively Perfect Craft Glue and Thin 3D foam squares. I used the Birthday Sentiments Embossing Folder on Distress Watercolor, trimmed, dragged the Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide ink pad over the detail and fixed at the bottom of the panel.
I die-cut the Rubber Ducky from Simon Says Lemon Chiffon cardstock included in the kit, added shading with Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide ink using a Mini Round Blending Tool, assembled and added to the panel with Thin 3D foam squares.
I added a white hemp twine bow to the tag and Simon Says Duckling Sequins.
I then decided to fussy cut the Birthday Blitz stamped flowers, inked with Carved Pumpkin Distress Oxide ink, left over from yesterday's card, fix to the panel with Thin 3D foam squares and add Glossy Accents to the flower centres and the centre of the rosette on the tag.

Enjoy your weekend whatever you have planned.

Who doesn't love a cute Rubber Ducky

Hello my friends, I'm back share a birthday card using the cute Rubber Ducky die and Birthday Blitz 6" x 8" stamp set from Simon Says Stamp Birthday Blitz September 2025 card kit. You can find all the details of what is included in the kit, subscribe if you don't already and purchase individual items from the kit HERE.

I trimmed Distress Watercolor card to 4" x 5.1/4", inked the sunburst image from the Birthday Blitz stamp set with Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide ink and stamped randomly over the panel to create a background.
I stamped the flower images from the stamp set, inked with Kitsch Flamingo and Carved Pumpkin Distress Oxide inks and the centres, inked with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink, on to Distress Watercolor card but only used the pink flowers.
I die-cut Simon Says Fruitful Berries from Distress Watercolor card and coloured with Kitsch Flamingo, Salvaged Patina and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide inks using Simon Says Round Detail Blending Brushes.
I stamped the sentiment from the Birthday Bliz stamp set on to Distress Watercolor card, inked with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink, trimmed with Tim Holtz/Tonic Studios  Deckle Edge Trimmer and fixed to the card with the Simon Says Stamp Foam Strips included in the kit. I die-cut the Rubber Ducky from Lemon Chiffon cardstock, also included in the kit, shaded with Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide ink, added his eyes using a Sakura Black Glaze pen and fixed in place also with Foam Strips. I fussy cut the flowers (there are dies available for the stamp set, linked below) and added to the panel along with the Fruitful Berries die-cuts. I stamped the heart from the stamp set, inked with Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide ink.
To finish, I added sparkle to the berries and heart using Tonic Studios Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Pen and once dry, a coat of Glossy Accents and matted the panel on to an A2 white top folding card.

I'll be back soon to share another card using this adorable rubber ducky. In the meantime, have fun with whatever you are making and enjoy your weekend.
