Hello my friends, well here we are at the last day of April already and I'm sharing another card made with the Celestial Wishes stamp set included in the Simon Says May Card Kit. The kit is still available to buy at time of writing or if you wish you can purchase individual items from the kit HERE. In a way this is a wishful thinking kind of a card because after weeks of non stop rain, wind, hail and even snow, I'm definitely ready to say hello to some sunshine.
I smooshed the Iced Spruce Distress Oxide ink pad on to my craft mat on my Glass Media Mat and spritzed with water to create a light neutral background. I inked the leaves from the Celestial Wishes stamp set with the same ink pad, spritzed with water and stamped along the bottom of the panel.I stamped the circle and sunburst from the stamp set, inked with the Zest Mini Pawsitively Saturated Ink cube included in the kit.I tapped Zest, Terracotta and Mocha Pawsitively Saturated inks on to the dragonfly stamp from the card kit using Simon Says Round Detail Blending Brushes and stamped on to Distress Watercolor card.I fussy cut the image and fixed to the panel with Distress Collage Medium, applying the adhesive to the body only and pulled up the wings to create dimension.I die-cut the word Hello from Distress Watercolor card using Simon Says C Designs Hello wafer die and coloured as before with Zest and Terracotta Pawsitively Saturated ink cubes.Tuesday, April 30, 2024

Sizzix + 49andMarket
Hello my friends, Sizziz and 49andMarket have come together and released a fabulous collection of stamps and dies which are right up my mixed media street and combined with 49andMarket Spectrum Gardenia Classic papers as ready made backgrounds, I had a fun time creating a trio of easy peasy, quick to make, encouragement cards.
I used 49andMarket Spectrum Gardenia Classic 6" x 8" papers trimmed to 3.3/4" x 5.1/4" and stamped the images from Painted Pencil Butterflies 666634, die-cut with the dies included with the stamp set and stamped the sentiments from the Hello Sentiments stamp set 666630Thursday, April 25, 2024
Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous - Abstract Florals
Hello my friends, I'm back to share a trio of cards I made for the YouTube Live launch of Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous new stamps and stencils using Abstract Florals. I love the bold statement these beautiful images make on a card and decided to keep the background fairly simple using Alcohol Inks.
I trimmed Ranger White Yupo to create 3 - 4" x 5.1/4" panels, stamped the images and sentiments from Abstract Florals, inked with Black Soot Distress Archival ink, sprinkled with Ranger Black Embossing Powder and heat set. The Yupo is a plastic substrate and is prone to warping when heated, so I made sure my heat gun was good and hot and kept it moving until the powder melted.I added drops of Dijon and Moss Alcohol inks with a little Blending Solution to the felt pad on a Mini Round Blending Tool and pounced on to the panels.I matted the panels on to Distress Black HeavyStock trimmed 1/8" larger and added dots to mimic the dots around the images using a Sakura Black Glaze Pen.Wednesday, April 24, 2024
