Simon Says - Feminine

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

and the theme for this week is...
FEMININE
I created cards with a feminine theme using 49andMarket Spectrum Gardenia Classic papers for the backgrounds, Sizzix/49andMarket Painted Pencil Butterflies stamps and dies and Hello You Sentiments, decorated with Tim Holtz/Sizzix Vault Boutique Thinlits and Idea-ology Snapshots Vol 2.
I trimmed papers from 49andMarket Spectrum Gardenia Classic Collection to 3.1/2" x 6" and fixed to white card blanks covered with Distress Black HeavyStock.
I stamped the splatter and dots image from Sizzix/49andMarket Hello You Sentiments stamp set, inked with Peeled Paint and Dusty Concord Distress Oxide inks and Black Soot Distress Archival ink.
I die-cut the doily 3 times from Distress Watercolor card using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Vault Boutique Thinlits.
I die-cut the frame using the Vault Boutique Thinlits from Distress Black HeavyStock and the photos from Ideaology Snapshots Vol 2 to fit the frames.
I fixed the doilies to the card panels with Distress Collage Medium and added the frames and photos.  I die-cut the frames again from Distress Grey Two Tone Woodgrain card and fixed on to the original frames slightly offset to create a shadow.
I stamped the sentiments from Sizzix/49andMarket Hello You Sentiments stamp set, inked with Black Soot Distress Archival ink on to the card panels. I also stamped the sentiments on to Distress Black HeavyStock, inked with Distress Embossing ink, sprinkled with Simon Says White Detail Embossing Powder, heat set, trimmed and fixed to the panels with Distress Collage Medium.
To create the butterflies, I spritzed the solid image butterfly from Sizzix/49andMarket Painted Butterflies stamp set with water, dipped the Peeled Paint Distress Watercolor Pencil in water, scribbled the colour over the stamp, stamped on to Distress Watercolor card and dried. I repeated with the second layering image also coloured with the Peeled Paint Distress Watercolor Pencil. I stamped the third layering stamp, coloured with the Wilted Violet Distress Watercolor Pencil and dried. To finish I stamped the outline image on top, inked with Black Soot Distress Archival ink. I played around with a combination of the two colours to create 3 butterflies.
I die-cut the butterflies with the die that is included with the stamps and fixed to the panel with Simon Says Black foam squares to create dimension.
