Something Old...
Something New...
Something Borrowed...
Something Blue...
normally associated with weddings but it sprang right into my mind when I was making this card...yes I've been a little bit naughty and already had a teeny weeny play with something new...
but where does the "Something Old" come in. Another of those impulse purchases I'm afraid....those definitely "must have" items that end up being stored away and forgotten...sound familiar and I'm now kicking myself...how could I have neglected the gorgeous Stampendous Frantage Embossing Enamels and Fragments for so long...

To create the centre tree I dumped a pile onto a piece of card...heated until melted and stamped the tree into it...a bit like the old UTEE trick and look at the result....wowzers I love the texture and the sparkle...just wish the camera showed how fabulously blingy it is...
And the reason for my fall from grace...I had to pop over to The Papeterie yesterday to pick up some kitting supplies and guess what...my lovely buddy Debbi just happened to be strutting her stuff with Promarkers and Flexmarkers...what a co-incidence and it would have been so rude to just cut and run so by the time I got home after much coffee and chat...it wasn't worth starting on the worky stuff again and the rest is history...

Hi Kath, I agree with all the others, it is stunning. I love how you created the tree but also the line of snow/bling too, the snow part looks quite real. I bet it was lovely to have a little break from work yesterday! Crafty hugs, Anne x

ReplyDeleteOMG - ruddy fabulous! Absolutely gorgeous!!! Karen x
ReplyDeleteStunning Kath, love what you've done with your new tree stamp. I don't think I have the fragments but I do have some of the embossing enamels and I have to admit they're unused so far.
ReplyDeleteI didn't get a lot done at my crop yesterday. I made one card and coloured a lot of images so something at least. But would you believe when I came home I had to turn the card into an easel card as I had made it completely upside down. Would have been ok if you wanted a left-handed card!!
Kat xx
