Hi Folks...I'm looking forward to our Christmas Papercraft Day at The
Papeterie...the car is packed up and I'm almost ready to rumble...I just need to jump in the shower for a wash and brush up...get the scrubbie working on those inky fingers and then the "I swear it takes longer every time" palaver of the old wrinkly beauty routine involving a trowel and a box of polyfilla but before that little marathon begins...time to share a little playtime creation with my new love...the fabulous Tattered Poinsettia Die from the master of all things crafty...you know who I mean...
it is a large bold statement flower if you use all the layers...for a smaller version just die cut the smaller petals..I'm sure this is one that I'll get a lot of mileage from...die cut pretty print papers with a little bit of curling...hey presto a gorgeous Non-Christmas flower...
and I just had to have a go at this fabulous technique from this month's Craft Stamper...ink up your brayer with an embossing ink pad...lightly run over the embossing...sprinkle with Tim's fabulous Sticky Embossing Powder...heat and then sprinkle with his gorgeous Dry Glitter...I bet it would work beautifully with Frantage too...
See you all tomorrow
Hugs Kath xxx

Hi Kath, that die is stunning and looks wonderful with patterned paper (but no more Christmas buys for me). I have been using that embossing folder on my cards too as it looks like cracked ice. Great technique with the embossing too. Hope the day goes well. Crafty hugs, Anne x
ReplyDeleteLove your central jewel brad in conjunction with this. Hope all goes well with the day's classes.
