Papeterie Retreat Day 1...Part 1

Hi folks...I'm all set for another fun day with the craft retreat gang...time to share some of the projects we made yesterday at Day 1 of the Spring Retreat at The Papeterie...spending time with lots of crafty folks is my idea of heaven and even more so when I get to share my passion for "All Things Tim Holtz". We kicked the day off making a Flower Pop-up Card using Distress Paints...Distress Ink Pads and Stencils to create a layered background followed by a little bit of stamping. Then it was time to have some fun with the floral decorations...layering up lots of Tattered Florals die cut from all manner of materials...making the card was the easy bit...getting a half decent photo...not so

and my superstar crafty companions did a fabulous job...10 out of 10 for their beautiful creations
after a quick toilet pit stop and a bit of musical chair class hopping we moved on to the next project...decorating a Burlap Panel and you're not far wrong if you're thinking there was a definite Tim Holtz theme to the day...

but time flies when you're having so much fun and before we know it's lunchtme...a well earned break tucking into a yummy yummy "all you can eat" Papeterie style lunch...

a chance to make new friends...fit in a sneaky bit of crafty retail therapy and in my case another quick trip to the loo before we head back to the classroom for the last project of the day which Miss Memory forgot to photograph so you'll have to wait until tomorrow...oops.
And there was lots of ooohing and aaaahing when this little cutie called in to say hello...
the absolutely adorable...Henry Hedgehog...
Hugs Kath xxx

  1. GORGEOUS pop-up flower box, Kath! But I have to say that that adorable little critter took center stage today! I've never seen one up close and personal, but would love to! Are those "quills" soft or ouchy?
