and the theme for this week is...
MAKE A WISH
I decided to make a Craft Notepad to jot down the items that are on my never ending wishlist...don't deny it...we all have a wishlist...some longer than others and the Tim Holtz Mini Clipboard was perfect for the job...
And I love how the clip mechanism is easily removeable for decoration.
I painted both sides of the clipboard with Black Gesso and sealed with Distress Collage Medium Matte to protect the edges and corners...well it is going to get a lot of use after all...measured up a selection of papers from Tim Holtz Wallflower Paper Stash...cut to size and scored 3/4" from the top edge. I then cut out a selection of squares and rectangles from the same papers...
and fixed them to the front cover with Distress Collage Medium Matte to create a collage effect and sealed with a top coat of Collage Medium...I love this product...it's so versatile with a drying time of now and has become my stick it down and you're good to go addiction...
I then edged around each piece of paper with the Walnut Stain Distress Crayon...blending with my finger to create a shadow and then highlighted with the Sharpie White Extra Fine Point Marker...I would have preferred using my "can't live without" Picket Fence Distress Crayon but it's run out so I'm currently waiting rather impatiently for replacement supplies.
I then die cut the feather from the White Idea-ology Substrate Sheet and the ink pot twice from TimHoltz Core'dinations Kraft Core using the Tim Holtz Sizzix Writing Desk Die. I sanded the inkpot lightly...cut the lip off the second die cut...fixed in place with 3D foam and added a Vial Label. I inked around the edge of the feather with Hickory Smoke Distress Ink and stamped Stampers Anonymous Tim Holtz Ledger Script in Black Archival. I highlighted the inkpot with the White Sharpie Marker and coated with Glossy Accents...I added Pen Nibs...Remnant Rubs...Label Letters...ChitChat Stickers and Alpha Tiles to make the sentiment.
Using the Ranger Collage Glue Stick I applied Ranger Vintage Cream and Gold Transfer Foil around the edges and Gold on the feather and pen nibs. I distressed the edges of my notepad papers and fixed the clip mechanism to hold them all in place. I finished off by applying Cream Vintage Transfer Foil to the clip.
