and the theme for this week is..
NOT A CARD
I created a snowy Christmas scene using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Tiny Houses die and lots of the new Idea-ology Holiday Collection...
I die cut the houses from Matboard and the gorgeous new Tim Holtz Idea-ology Christmas 8 x 8 Paper Stash...
and added Idea-ology Christmas Design Tape to the edges
I then moved on to the roofs decorating them with gorgeous shimmery Idea-ology Tidings Design Tape...I die cut the snowy edges and windows from white card using Tim Holtz/Sizzix BigZ Village Winter Die...
fixed to the houses, dabbed on Studio 490 Embossing Paste and sprinkled with glitter...
spritzed the Idea-ology Woodland Trees with a mix of Cracked Pistachio and Evergreen Bough Spray Stain and painted the bases with Tarnished Brass Distress Mica Spray...
dabbed on embossing paste and dusted with glitter.
I covered the Idea-ology Decorative Deer and Jingle Bells with Collage Medium Matte and sprinkled with my favourite Christmas Glitter...Ranger's Stickles Platinum Dry Fine Glitter...
and while all the sparkly bits and pieces were drying, I turned my attention to creating a base for everything to sit on. I cut a polystyrene pizza tray in half and used layers of crumpled tissue paper to create texture. Once dry, I applied a thick layer of Embossing Paste...
and placed the elements on my Christmas base...the embossing paste will hold everything in place once it dries.
I threaded the bells with Electic Elements thread, fixed Fluted stars to the thread and hung between the houses using a dot of Glossy Accents...added thread bows and a dot of embossing paste to hide the adhesive. I added Idea-ology Christmas Alpha Dice and Idea-ology Pearls coated in Texture Paste to create a pile of snowballs and sprinkled the whole scene (including myself) liberally with glitter...
and while I waited for all the sparkly stuff to dry so that I could take photos...I put the kettle on and enjoyed a cuppa which I suspect also contained a generous dusting of glitter but I'm still here so no harm done...
