and the theme for this week is...
TAG IT
While I wait rather impatiently if I'm honest for the amazing new Tim Holtz 2018 products to arrive in the cubbyhole, I thought I would have a root around in my stash and use some old favourites to make a Tag Memory Book.
I started off by looking out some Ranger #8 Manila Tags and Distress Spray Stains...
and an old Simon Says Stamp Card Kit box makes the ideal spray station...
I then looked out one of my favourite Tim Holtz Idea-ology rolls of Tissue Wrap, tore it into strips and fixed it down with Distress Collage Medium...
used Sizzix/Tim Holtz Alphanumeric Thinlits to die cut the front cover...
I stamped Stampers Anonymous Ledger Script inked with Black Soot Archival, Walnut Stain and Wilted Violet Distress Oxide inks randomly on both sides of the tags...
and the letters from Stampers Anonymous Worn Text with Black Soot Archival...added Metallic Alpha Stickers
and Idea-ology Photobooth (of course you could add your own photos) and Snippets...
I cut down two of the tags and created hinged flap tags using Idea-ology Chatter Design Tape to hold them in place...
I decorated the tags with the Chatter Design Tape and Idea-ology Clippings Stickers...
as an afterthought, I trimmed down 4 more Manila Tags and stamped with Stampers Anonymous Composition and Lined using Ground Espresso Archival and Frayed Burlap Distress Oxide to create journalling tags. This is one of the new releases for 2018 and will be shipping in February - available to pre-order at Simon Says Stamp
I arranged the tags in the order I wanted them in the tag book, made sure they were all the right way up (you don't want upside down alphabet letters-been there, done that, got the T-shirt), scored each tag 1/2" from the bottom and fixed them together with Ranger Multi Matte Medium. You could also use Ranger Wonder Tape if you prefer.
I tied Idea-ology Crinkle Ribbon coloured with Distress Stains, Linen Ribbon and Paper Solid String thread through the hole in each tag...
I changed my mind about the "IT" Metallic Stickers on the front cover. I covered them with Quote Letters instead and added Idea-ology Label Letters.
I finished off the cover with a strip of Idea-ology Chatter Design Tape, a Hinge Clip and Nature Adornment coloured with Picket Fence Distress Paint.
and here are a few of the decorated tag pages...

ReplyDelete. Ich arbeite sehr gerne mit Strukturpaste, man kann die Schablone aber zum eĆmbossen oder Inken verwenden, damit erzielt man auch schƶne Effekte.

This mini album is so cool, Kath! I love the colors the most and that vintage and retro mood of your pages. That was such a fun idea of letting them just sprayed without much blending. Love the tissue patterns added and those sweet pictures too. Hugs, Macarena
ReplyDeleteWOnderful!!!
ReplyDeleteFabulous! Love the spritzy backgrounds, so cool with the tissue wrap scraps - and great collaging for each page. The various twines and ribbons and laces are a brilliant finishing touch.
