Simon Says - Not A Card

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

and the theme for this week is...
NOT A CARD
I recycled an old framed canvas and decorated using Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Boo Crazy, Moon Mask Stencils, Idea-ology Halloween 2024 Collage Paper, Typography 2024 and Sizzix Alphanumeric Shadow Numbers Thinlits.
I ripped the old canvas off the frame and painted it with Black Gesso.
I cut a panel to fit inside the frame from mountboard and covered with Distress Watercolor card. I fixed the largest Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Moon Mask temporarily on the panel, coloured using Antique Linen, Ripe Persimmon and Scorched Timber Distress Oxide inks smooshed on to my Tim Holtz/Tonic Studios Mat. Once I had dipped the panel back into the inks a few times, drying between layers I removed the mask and used Scorched Timber Distress Oxide ink to add the detail. I replaced the original mask and added shading with Scorched Timber around the edges of the moon.
I fixed a torn piece of the haunted house from Tim Holtz/Idea-ology Halloween 2024 Collage Paper in place using Distress Collage Medium and a collage brush.
I stamped the cobweb from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Boo Crazy on to the panel inked with Black Soot Distress Archival ink.
I added splatters of Spiced Marmalade Distress Spritz
I painted the edges with Black Gesso using a piece of Ranger Cut 'N Dry to cover up the white core of the card.
I stamped the ghosts from Boo Crazy on to Distress Watercolor card, inked with Black Soot Distress Archival ink, sprayed with water and dropped in Frayed Burlap Distress Oxide ink with a Distress Detailer Brush and let the water work it's magic.
I fixed teased out strips of Tim Holtz/Idea-ology Mummy Cloth to the panel with dots of Distress Collage Medium, fussy cut the ghosts with my trusty Tim Holtz Mini Recoil Snips, fixed in place popped up on 3D foam squares to add dimension and added white highlights to the eyes using a Sakura White Gelly Roll Pen.
I fixed Painters Tape, sticky side up, to my Tim Holtz/Tonic Studios White Studio Mat to hold the Idea-ology Typography letters in place, painted the tops of the letters with Black Gesso and once the paint had dried, sanded the letters with a Tim Holtz Sanding Disk on a Mini Round Blending Tool.
I fixed the letters in place using Distress Collage Medium and added an ampersand die-cut from Distress Black HeavyStock using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Alphanumeric Shadow Numbers Thinlits.
I hot glued the panel on to the frame and used Tim Holtz/Idea-ology Halloween Label Tape to tidy up the edges.
