and memories of that particular purchase just came to mind the other day. They were retrieved from that place that all impulse purchases seem to reside and I embarked on a little watercolour adventure...starting off with the NO LINE WATERCOLOUR technique. Get me...sounds like I know what I'm doing...
but will it end up a finished project I'm happy to share...maybe...maybe not.
But hey it's Friday and I'm ready to kick up my heels with The Girls...coffee...lunch...catching up with all the gossip and a bit of retail therapy thrown in for good measure is just what the doctor would order for us busy crafters. I'll be back tomorrow to announce the winner of the Fiskars Give-Away...if you haven't entered yet...you have until 8pm tonight to get your name in the hat. Have a great weekend whatever you're planning to do but with snow forecast for my corner of the country...
my plans for the garden tidy up may be put on hold again
Hugs Kath xxx

ReplyDeleteWatercolour is the one thing I would love to do / wish I could do too! But, you have done a beautiful job on both pieces Kath - that flower is just simply stunning! Have a great time with the Friday girls... Hugs, Anne xx
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a lovely 'playtime' Kath.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day and I hope the snow doesn't hit and cause you problems.

For someone who's not a colourer, you've done a pretty amazing job! Especially love the pink flower, just beautiful. xx
ReplyDeleteThis looks beautiful and I am sure will end up on some amazing finished project. Enjoy your day of fun

ReplyDeleteMorning Kath,
ReplyDeleteTypical April weather I see lol. I've got sunshine at the moment but there are some ominous dark clouds gathering so I'm expecting some of the wet stuff soon so my back garden might remain a swamp for a bit longer yet.
I have to admit that I feel out of my comfort zone every time I set foot in my craft room lol.
Kath, I love the 'no outline' effort, it's beautiful. I have to admit that I weakened and bought the same set of 36 paints. I'm not a watercolourer but I just love the rich, creamy colours in the set and think they were well worth the money (I waited until the price dropped on Amazon and then pounced lol).
I love the flower and am trying to work out if I have that stamp set...I'll have to go take a look and then I may just HAVE to have a try at that one. I love the idea of using the embossing on the outline, makes it so much easier to 'keep within the lines' as it were. So, my biggest question of the day is...should I go and play with my paints...or should I tidy my kitchen food cupboard?!?!!

They both look beautiful Kath & I can't wait to see the finished results. Enjoy your day out with the girls, and hopefully it's not too cold, wild & windy in your neck of the woods!!
ReplyDeleteGood luck to all who entered your giveaway punches too.
Have a fabulous weekend. Hugs Ann xxx
Kath both of these are fabulous, I especially love your watercolouring on the flower. You are being too hard on yourself. Looking forward to seeing your finished project, have fun today! Karen x

They look amazing Kath. I have to admit I bought some crafters companion watercolour pens ages ago and they are still in the box under my bed. Whoops. Keep forgetting. You've inspired me to get them out and have a play with them., so thank you. Have a nice weekend.hugs xxx
