Hi my friends, I'm back to share the last of the cards I made for the Facebook Live launch of Tim Holtz/Sizzix Distinguished and Snarky Cats Framelits. If you missed it, you can pop over to Tim's blog, share in the excitement and see amazing inspirational samples from many talented makers and hints and tips on how to get the best out of your Framelits from The Professor himself HERE
I began by trimming Distress Watercolor card to 4.1/2" x 6.1//2", applied Hickory Smoke and Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide inks through the Dots Shifter Stencil using Distress Blending Brushes. I inked the umbrella from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Distinguished with Black Soot Distress Archival and stamped on the panel to give me an idea for placement of the die-cuts. I edged the panel with Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide ink and flicked on water to create splatters.
I die-cut the umbrella from silver Idea-ology Metallic KraftStock using the Distinguished Thinlits, stamped the umbrella inked with Black Soot Distress Archival on to Distress Watercolor card and card coloured with Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide, die-cut and trimmed off the handle and little button section at the top. I repeated the stamping and die-cutting process with the Snarky Cats inked with Black Soot Distress Archival.I inked the dotted image from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Grunged with Hickory Smoke Distress Archival and stamped randomly on the background. I fixed the umbrellas die-cut from the Idea-ology Metallic KraftStock over the stamped images, trimmed the Snarky Cats die-cuts to fit behind the Umbrella die-cut, coloured the cats with Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide re-inker and fixed in place using Sizzix Foam Adhesive to create dimension.
I fixed Tim Holtz/Sizzix Adhesive Sheet to Idea-ology BlackOut KraftStock and die cut the letters for the sentiment using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Alphanumeric Tiny Text Lower Thinlits.I attached the die-cut letters mixing them up with individual words cut from Idea-ology Big Talk Snarky Stickers.
I coloured the cats' eyes using Fossilized Amber, Tea Dye and Twisted Citron Distress Oxide re-inkers and added Glossy Accents on their noses and randomly on the background to create a raindrop effect. To finish I added Idea-ology Bouquet Findings tucked into each umbrella, fixed in place with Distress Collage Medium Matte and fixed the panel to a 5" x 7" white card blank, covered with Idea-ology BlackOut KraftStock, sanded to reveal the kraft core.
Happy Crafting my friends, have fun with whatever you are creating
