Hi my friends, it's me again, sharing the wall calendar I made for the YouTube Live launch of Tim Holtz/Sizzix Chapter 1 2021 release using a Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Etcetera Tag decorated with Brushstroke Flowers 1, Alphanumeric Stretch Lower and Bold Thinlits, Idea-ology Classic KraftStock, Memoranda Paper and Idea-ology Ephemera. I did warn you that I have a thing for anything floral and am rather partial to anything alphabetical. If you missed the Live launch, pop over to Tim's Blog HERE where you can check out the whole collection, watch the YouTube Live and see all the amazing inspirational makes listed under each Maker.
I began by covering a Medium Etcetera Tag with paper from the Tim Holtz Idea-ology Memoranda Paper Stash, one of my absolute favourites and perfect for using with any floral project.
I added different pieces of Idea-ology Ephemera related to dates and time from my stash and applied a light coat of Distress Antique Linen Paint which makes the ephemera disappear slightly into the background rather than dominating.I applied a coat of Distress Collage Medium over the whole tag and added shadowing around the ephemera using a Walnut Stain Distress Crayon, blending the colour out with my finger.
I die-cut the Aphanumeric Stretch Lower Thinlits from red Idea-ology Classic KraftStock and fixed in place with Distress Collage Medium Matte.
I die-cut the Brushstroke Flowers 1 Thinlits from Idea-ology Memoranda paper and Red, Green and Light Brown Classic KraftStock, mixing up the different layers to create a variety of flowers. I inked the script background image from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Entomology with Barn Door Distress Archival ink and stamped on to the bottom layer of the light brown flower.
I fixed the leaves in place with Distress Collage Medium Matte leaving some of the tips without adhesive so that they could be curled up to create dimension and added the flowers popped up on Sizzix Foam Adhesive. I added Idea-ology Game Spinners to the Ephemera Clock Faces and added an Idea-ology Small Talk Sticker to complete the sentiment.I added splatters of Picket Fence Distress Paint.
I covered a small Vignette panel with matching Memoranda paper to create the calendar section.I fixed the calendar tab on top and added a cover trimmed from Idea-ology Classic KraftStock to match the leaves, added extra die-cut leaves and the year die-cut from red Classic KraftStock using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Alphanumeric Bold Thinlits. I used Idea-ology Vignette Hardware Findings to hang the calendar tab from the tag.To finish I covered the hole re-inforcer with Classic KraftStock to match the leaves and added Mummy Cloth from Idea-ology Halloween Trimmings coloured with Peeled Paint Distress Spray Stain and spritzed generously with water to lighten.
I'll be back to share more makes next week, in the meantime, have fun with whatever you are creating.
Hugs Kath xxx
