Simon Says - Food/Drink

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

and the theme for this week is...
FOOD and/or DRINK
I created a card featuring the UK's favourite drink, a nice cup of tea, using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Doily 3D Texture Fade, Cafe Colorize, Stacked Tile Hearts and Alphanumeric Varsity Thinlits, Idea-ology Engraving Layers and Mini Marquee Letters.

I began by trimming Distress Watercolor card to 4"x 6", dragged the Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide ink pad across the debossed side of the Tim Holtz/Sizzix Doily 3D Texture Fade, spritzed the panel lightly with water and ran through the Tim Holtz/Sizzix Foldaway. Oh boy, the pressure on this machine is impressive, amazing texture with just one pass.
I fixed a length of lace from my stash on the edge of the panel using dots of Distress Collage Medium.
I coloured scraps of Distress Watercolor card with Kitsch Flamingo and Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide inks and die cut the tea cup using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Cafe Colorize Thinlits.
I scribbled randomly over the tea cup and the clock from  Idea-ology Engraving Layers with a Distress Embossing Pen, sprinkled with Kitsch Flamingo, Antique Linen and Vintage Photo Distress Embossing Glazes, heat set and fixed in place with Distress Collage Medium and foam adhesive on the tea cup.
I added Idea-ology Mini Marquee letters and faux stitches die-cut from black card using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Media Marks 1 Thinlits.
At this stage, I didn't think the clock stood out from the background. I managed to remove it from the background by heating the back of the panel, die-cut hearts using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Stacked Tile Hearts Thinlits and fixed to the back of the clock to create a scalloped edge.
I die-cut the number from Kitsch Flamingo coloured card, black card and Distress Watercolor card and layered to create dimension.

To finish, I added extra Kitsch Flamingo Embossing Glaze hearts on the background, matted the panel on to white and black card trimmed to be 1/8" larger and fixed to a 5" x 7" white card blank.
