Simon Says - Holiday Ornaments Snowman

Hi my friends, I'm jumping around from Halloween to Christmas, from spooky to cute and there's nothing cuter than the adorable Holiday Ornaments stamp set from Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember release, how could I resist popping them in my basket along with the matching dies. I'm sharing a "mixing lots of products" card using the cutest Snowman ornament ever, Tim Holtz/Sizzix Pine Branches 3D Texture Fade and snowflakes from Tim Holtz/Sizzix Twig and Stump Thinlits.

I trimmed Distress Watercolor card to 4" x 5.1/4", spritzed with Speckled Egg Distress Spray Stain and Winter Frost Distress Mica Stain and dried.I misted the back of the panel with water, placed it in the Tim Holt/Sizzix Pine Branches 3D Texture Fade and ran through my die-cutting machine. I dry-brushed the textured detail with White Gesso, added splatters of Distress Resist Spray, sprinkled with Simon Says White Embossing Powder and heat set.I stamped all the characters, holly berries and candies from Simon Says Holiday Ornaments several times, on to Distress Watercolor card, inked with Simon Says Intense Black ink and will store what I don't use, in the stamp packaging, ready to colour for future cards. The Winter Wishes sentiment in the stamp set was too long to fit on the panel, so I cut it in half and stamped, inked with Simon Says Intense Black ink. It's OK to cut your stamps apart, just make sure there is enough space to cut between the words and use sharp scissors. They can easily be re-positioned to stamp as originally intended.I coloured the snowman ornament using colours from the palette I made with shavings from my Distress Watercolor Pencils and a small paintbrush. This is now my favourite way of using watercolours and how did I ever manage without this handy go-to palette.
I added splatters of Winter Frost Distress Mica Stain to the background and die-cut the snowman and holly berries using the Holiday Ornaments dies. I added silver sparkly string as a hanger for the ornament and fixed the die-cuts in place with Simon Says Foam Squares. I die-cut the snowflakes from Simon Says Silver Glitter card using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Twig and Stump Thinlits and fixed in place with Distress Collage Medium.

I applied a Sakura Black Glaze Pen to the eyes, added white dots to the ornament and holly berries using a Sakura White Gelly Roll Pen and Ranger Glossy Accents to the nose, ornament top and holly berries and matted the panel on to an A2 white card blank.
How adorable is this little character !!! I'll be back tomorrow to share another cute card using the adorable reindeer from the stamp set. In the meantime, Have fun with whatever you are making.
