Simon Says - Add Texture

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

It's the first challenge of the month when we showcase one particular brand or company and this week we are all using some of the fabulous products from Tonic Studios.  You don't have to use them to join in with the challenge but if you have them in your stash, we would love to see how you use them.
We are also welcoming the lovely and very talented Ann Chuang as our Designer In The Spotlight. If you haven't visited her blog before, pop over, you will be in for a real treat.
The theme for this week is...
ADD TEXTURE
I created a card using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Mosaic 3D Texture Fade, Idea-ology Backdrops Vol 5 paper and a Transparent Layer to add texture to the background. I used Tonic Studios Vintage White Vellum, coloured with Distress Paints and die-cut with Tim Holtz/Sizzix Modern Floristry, Funky Floral Large and Wildflower Stems 2 to create layered flowers and leaves.

I trimmed paper from Tim Holtz Idea-ology Backdrops Vol 5 and attached to an A2 panel of white cardstock. I applied Distress Paint (Shaded Lilac/Dusty Concord - Bundled Sage/Rustic Wilderness - Wild Honey to sheets of Tonic Studios White Vintage Vellum using the small Distress Brayer. I placed a panel of the green vellum in Tim Holtz/Sizzix Mosaic 3D Texture Fade, ran through my die-cutting machine and highlighted the high points on the debossed side using a Black Soot Distress Oxide ink pad. I tore the vellum into sections and fixed to the patterned paper panel using small dots of Distress Collage Medium.
I die-cut the flowers and leaves from Distress Watercolor card and twice from the coloured vellum using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Modern Floristry, Funky Floral Large and Wildflower Stems 2 and layered to create dimension, only applying adhesive on the flower centres.
I stamped the flowers with the background stamp from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Entomology, inked with Black Doot Distress Archival ink.
I applied White Gesso to the back of the Tim Holtz/Idea-ology Transparent Layer to make it slightly less transparent in the centre area.
I fixed the Transparent Layer in place with Distress Collage Medium and added splatters of White Gesso to the background and flowers. I sprinkled the flower centres with Stampendous Aged Black Chunky Embossing Enamel, heat set from underneath and fixed the flowers and leaves in place with Distress Collage Medium. I added Idea-ology Long Fasteners, hammered with the new Texture Hammer to create texture.
I added a label from Tim Holtz/Idea-ology Palette Ephemera lightly coloured with Distress Bundled Sage applied with my finger and Idea-ology Specimen Remnant Rubs.
To finish I matted the panel on to white cardstock trimmed to be 1/8" larger and fixed to a 5.1/4" x 6.5" white card blank covered with Idea-ology Black KraftStock
