Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because
and the theme for this week is...
FOOD AND/OR DRINK
I'm a big Coffee Lover and can't start the day without one. I created a card using Spellbinders Nichol Sphor Merry Mug Creations dies, cut from Simple Stories Vintage Flower Shoppe patterned paper included in the June 2025 card kit, Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Bubble and Splatters Mini Layering Stencils from Sets 3 and 5 and used Tim Holtz/Idea-ology Small Talk Snarky Stickers for the sentiment.
I trimmed Distress Watercolor card to 4" x 5.1/4" and dragged an Antique Linen Distress Oxide ink pad randomly over the panel.
I applied Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide ink through Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Splatters Mini Layering Stencil from Set 3 using a Tiny Blending Brush to create a spilt coffee effect.
I used Tim Holtz/Idea-ology Remnant Rubs from my stash to fill some of the blank areas.
I die-cut Spellbinders Nichol Sphor Merry Mug Creations from Distress Watercolor card and Simple Stories Vintage Flower Shoppe patterned papers, assembled, inked the edges of the mugs with Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide ink and fixed to the panel popped up with Simon Says Thin Foam Squares to create dimension.
I coloured a scrap of Distress Watercolor card with Lumberjack Plaid Distress Watercolor Pencil using a Distress Detailer Brush. I die-cut the large heart from the Merry Mug Creations set from Distress Watercolor card, the small hearts from the coloured card and fixed in place with Distress Collage Medium.
I changed my mind about the large heart on the mug so removed it before the adhesive had set. I fixed the red heart to the bottom left corner and added Ranger Glossy Accents to all the hearts. I trimmed Tim Holtz/Idea-ology Small Talk Snarky Stickers to use as the sentiment, sanded the edges and fixed to the mug with Distress Collage Medium.
To tie in with the red hearts, I applied Lumberjack Plaid Distress Oxide ink through the Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Bubbles Mini Layering Stencil using a Tiny Blending Tool. I dragged the Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide ink pad around the edges of the panel to add a distressed grungy look.
To finish I matted the panel on to Simon Says Lipstick Red cardstock, trimmed 1/8" larger and fixed to an A2 white card blank.
