Tim Holtz/Sizzix - Artsy Leaves Shaker Card

Hi my friends, I'm back to share the shaker card I made for the YouTube Live launch of Tim Holtz/Sizzix Halloween 2023 Collection using the Artsy Leaves Thinlits. If you missed the Live, you can always check out the new products in the release and the amazing inspiration from the Makers on Tim's YouTube Channel HERE or Blog HERE.

I die-cut the Artsy Leaves from Simon Says Stamp Shrink Sheets
Once I had shrunk the leaves with my heat tool, I coloured them with Splendour and Mojito Pearl Alcohol Inks by pouncing the colour on to leaves with a blending tool. I could have coloured the shrink plastic before die-cutting but shrinking intensifies the colours and I didn't want them to be too dark.
I trimmed Distress Watercolor card to 4.3/4" x 6", smooshed Crackling Campfire Distress Oxide ink on to my Glass Media Mat, spritzed with water, picked the ink up with a piece of plastic and pressed repeatedly on to the panel until I was happy with the coverage. I applied Twisted Citron Distress Oxide ink through the Dots stencil from the Abstracts Elements set.
I inked the script stamp from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Exquisite with Black Soot Distress Archival and stamped randomly over the background.
I fixed the panel to a 5" x 6.1/2" white card blank, sprinkled a selection of sequins on to the panel and added the Shrink Plastic Artsy Leaves.
I trimmed Distress Black Woodgrain cardstock to 5" x 6.1/2" placed the frame die from the Layered Dots Thinlits in the centre and die-cut to create a frame. I fixed acetate to the back of the frame, added black foam strips to the back and attached to the card blank.
I die-cut the Artsy Leaves Thinlits from Distress Watercolor card coloured with Twisted Citron and Crackling Campfire Distress Oxides and Distress Black Woodgrain card and assembled.
I fixed the leaves in place with black foam squares to create dimension and used Distress Collage Medium where the leaves overlapped.
To finish I added an Idea-ology Quote Chip Label.

I'll be back soon to share another project using the Tim Holtz/Sizzix Halloween Collection, in the meantime, have fun with whatever you're making.
Hugs Kath xxx
