Tim Holtz/Sizzix Big Frights Acetate cards

Hi my friends, I'm sharing the acetate cards I made for the YouTube Live launch of Tim Holtz/Sizzix Halloween release using Big Frights Thinlits. If you missed the Live, you can catch up with all the new goodies in the release and check out the amazing inspiration from the Makers over on Tim's YouTube Channel HERE and Blog HERE.

I scored and folded the acetate sheets from Tim Holtz Idea-ology Materialize Paper Pad to create 2 - 4" square cards. The paper pad is discontinued but you may still have the acetate sheets in your stash, if not, you could always stamp the cobweb on heavyweight acetate using Staz On ink.
I die-cut the word shadow sections from Distress Black HeavyStock using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Big Frights Thinlits.
I splattered the die-cuts with Gilded and Sterling Foundry Wax, heat set and fixed inside the acetate card. I added strong adhesive tape along the top of the acetate, on the backside and on the back of the die-cut and fixed to a 4" square panel of Distress Watercolor card.
I fixed Tim Holtz Idea-ology Halloween Deco Sheets to Distress Black HeavyStock and die-cut the words using the Big Frights Thinlits.
I fixed the words to the front of the acetate cards using strong double sided tape.
I die-cut the words again from Distress Black HeavyStock, fixed inside the card, aligned up with the word on the front to hide any adhesive.
I added Tim Holtz Idea-ology Halloween Design Tape to hide the adhesive I used to fix the acetate to the Distress Watercolor card panel. I fixed the Idea-ology Label Tape to a scrap of Distress Watercolor card, trimmed to separate the words and fixed in place with strong double sided tape.
I die-cut the spiders and bats from Distress Black HeavyStock using the Big Frights Thinlits and fixed to the cards using Distress Collage Medium. I added Ranger Glossy Accents all over the bats and to the bodies only on the spiders and sprinkled with Distress Glitter Nightfall.

I'll be back soon to share another Tim Holtz/Sizzix YouTube Live project
Have Fun and Happy Crafting
