Simon Says - Sparkle & Shine

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

and the theme for this week is...
SPARKLE & SHINE
I created a Halloween Shaker card using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Vault Foliage Wreath and Gothic Portraits Thinlits with lots of Distress Glitter, Distress Mica Stain and Distress Spritz sparkle and shine.

I trimmed Distress Watercolor card to 4.3/4" x 6.3/4", inked Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Bubbles background with Villainous Potion Distress Oxide ink, spritzed with water, pressed the panel on to the stamp and dried. I then added splatters of Wilted Violet Distress spritz from the nozzle.
I die-cut the shaker aperture using the wreath from Tim Holtz/Sizzix Vault Foliage Wreath Thinlits and fixed a panel of acetate behind the aperture.
I applied Sizzix Adhesive Sheets to scraps of Distress Black HeavyStock, die-cut the Foliage Wreath and fixed back into the aperture. I die-cut the wreath again 3 times and layered on top slightly offset - sorry forgot to take a photo of that stage.
I fixed strong double sided adhesive sheet to Distress Black HeavyStock, peeled back the adhesive layer sprinkled liberally with Distress Glitter Nightfall and brushed off the excess. I placed the panel between layers of copy paper and ran through my die-cutting machine to press the glitter on to the card. Placing between sheets of paper will prevent the glitter sticking to your plates.
I die-cut the word Wicked 3 times from Distress Black HeavyStock using the Vault Gothic Portraits Thinlits and once from the glitter card, layered to create dimension and fixed to the bottom of the panel. I also die-cut the bats and raven from the same set and set aside. I coloured a panel of Distress Watercolor card with Villainous Potion Distress Oxide using a blending tool to create the backing panel for the shaker. I die-cut 31 from the glitter card using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Alphanumeric Varsity Thinlits and fixed the outlines of the numbers to the panel with Distress Collage Medium.
I fixed black foam tape around the aperture, filled with sequins and added the coloured panel on top to seal.

I fixed the panel to Distress Black HeavyStock trimmed to 5" x 7" and fixed to a white side folding card the same size.  I die-cut the flowers and leaves from a selection of backgrounds I had made previously using Distress Oxide inks, Distress Mica Stains and Distress Spritz and fixed around the wreath, along with the raven and bats using foam pads and Distress Collage Medium.
To finish I die-cut the Foliage Wreath bow twice from left over card coloured with Villianous Potion Distress Oxide ink, layered to create dimension and fixed to the top of the wreath with Distress Collage Medium.

The Distress Glitter Nightfall really packs a punch, it's Glitter Sparkle 2.0. It was a seasonal product and if you don't have it in your stash, you can easily create your own with Distress Rock Candy Glitter and Ranger Pitch Black Alcohol Ink.
