A sobering thought...

Hi folks...now here's a sobering thought for a Tuesday morning...it's the last week of July and only 4 and a bit months or to be more precise 151 sleeps until Christmas Day...scary huh...maybe not. For years I've been so frustrated that we couldn't get our hands on the latest Christmas crafting goodies until October/November and then it was a crazy headless chicken frenzy of trying to fit in a bit of crafty Christmas playtime amidst the madness of shopping wrapping and cooking but times they are a-changing. How excited am I that a certain Mr H has released his Christmas Collection in JULY....yeah...Christmas is coming early to the cubbyhole...
soon there will be fabulous STAMPS to play with
and gorgeous ALTERATIONS to have fun with
and I can't help but mention those Crazy Birds
who as we speak are making their way across the Atlantic en route to their new home
god speed and happy landings my little feathered friends...
and Santa's come early...the first yummy Christmas in July parcel has arrived...
all I need now is...the delivery of a huge box filled to bursting with extra hours in the day
Can I end by saying a huge thank you to each and everyone of you for your comments here and on Facebook and all the personal e-mails you sent showing your support for Karen Burniston...the original designer of the Accordion Card Concept...it truly gladdens my heart that once again the caring crafting community can see the injustice in this and is willing to speak out for what is right. What's done can't be undone and I'm not naive enough to think that this practice will never happen again but I know that we as consumers can make a difference by making responsible choices about what we buy and where we shop...you just have to look at the once mighty Tesco "king of the heap and untouchable for years" as a case in point...they rode roughshod over their customers once too often and are now seeing their profits fall and their market share tumble.
See you all tomorrow
Hugs Kath

  1. So many lovely Christmas goodies Kath. Have lots of fun playing.
    Toni xx

  2. Oh Kath I envy your goodies, so much happiness all in one place....
As for Tesco, don't get me started, I refuse to shop there, they crushed the high street for sure....
    have a good day...xxx

  3. WOW!!! Looks like Christmas has came early for you Kath !!! Guess you are stuck in the cubby hole as I write this email............hope you manage to come up for air and of course walks with Buddy.
I look forward to seeing what you make with those amazing stapes and stencils............have fun!!

    Huge hugs Annie xx

  4. Looks like you are going to have great fun with those wonderful goodies Kath, look forward to seeing what you make!

I was more than happy to support Karen Burniston, she is an amazing designer, it saddens me every time I think about what has been done to her.... Hugs, Anne xx

  5. Look forward as always to seeing what you create with your lovely new goodies!! Personally I can't wait to get my mitts on the crazy bird dies & accessories stamps!! Have a fab day Kath & Buddy. Hugs Ann ( sadly no Nero this week) xxx

  6. Oh, can I come and play at your house. My attempts to by those crazy birds have been thwarted so many times by crafters who decided to buy them at the same time that I intended to buy them. Somehow they always beat me to it, but I'm sure those birdies will make it to my home soon...

I appreciate you visiting my blog and leaving a comment xxx
