A Trio Of Delicate Flowers...

Hi folks, I'm back to share a trio of cards made with the Delicate Flowers stamp set and beautiful Moda Scrap Let Your Soul Bloom 6" x 6" papers and Carta Bella Washi Tape from Simon Says Stamp May Card Kit.

The kit is surprisingly still available to buy or to purchase the individual items separately, click on the links below.

I trimmed SSS #120 Ultra White card to measure 4" x 5", fixed strips of washi tape in the centre, stamped one of the flower images from Delicate Flowers with Versafine Onyx Black ink and heat embossed with Ranger Superfine Clear Embossing Powder.
I created a mask for the flower using SSS Masking Paper and stamped the leaves with Versafine Onyx Black
I stamped the sentiment, added a thin strip of the Moda Scrap paper and fixed Sparkletz Lucky Charms and Lucy Little Things Sequins in place with Distress Collage Medium Matte. I scored and folded the SSS Green Leaf Cardstock included in the kit to create a 5.1/4" x 4.1/4" card blank and attached the panel.

Card No 2...

I scored and folded SSS #120 Ultra White card to create a 5.1/2" square card blank. I trimmed the Moda Scrap Let Your Soul Bloom paper to be slightly smaller and die-cut an aperture using Sizzix Framelits Circle. I die-cut a frame from the paper pad cover sheet using the same dies and attached the panel to the card blank.
I fixed the frame and the inner circle in place with Distress Collage Medium Matte and stamped the leaf images from Delicate Flowers with Versafine Onyx Black.
I stamped the flower image from Delicate Flowers on to scraps of the Moda Scrap papers and fussy cut.
I added shading to the flowers with Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide ink using a Mini Round Blending Tool, curled the petals upwards and fixed to the card, adding adhesive only on the centre sections.

Card No 3
With the Sizzix Framelits Circles and lots of Moda Scrap Paper scraps sitting on my workdesk, I decided to make use of both.
I trimmed a panel of paper to measure 4" x 5.1/4" and added the various sizes of die-cut circles
I stamped the flower with Versafine Onyx Black, created a mask using SSS Masking Paper masked it and stamped the leaves.
But it was a tad plain, so I looked out my Sakura Micron Black and Sakura White Gelly Roll Pens and went to town with some doodling. I stamped the sentiment on to one of the circles, finished off by adding Lucy Little Things Ice Sequins fixed in place with Distress Collage Medium and splatters of White Gesso to the background and fixed the panel to an A2 White Card Blank.

Happy Crafting, have fun with whatever you are creating and I'll see you all soon
Toodle-oo for now

Simon Says -Tag It

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog...thank you for joining us for last week's challenge...we hope you can join us this week too because...

and the theme for this week is...
TAG IT
I decorated a canvas panel to look like an old stone wall and used Tim Holtz/Sizzix Stacked Tag Thinlits, covered with Idea-ology Botanical Collage Paper as a backdrop for theTim Holtz/Sizzix Large Stem flower and decorated with Idea-ology Keepsakes Ephemera

I applied a coat of White Gesso to a 6" x 8" Canvas Panel and fixed Idea-ology Botanical Collage Paper in place with Distress Collage Medium Matte.
I applied a light wash of Antique Linen Distress Paint and added Ranger Opague Matte Texture Paste randomly around the edges
I die-cut two tags from Distress Mixed Media Heavystock using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Stacked Tags Thinlits, covered with Idea-ology Botanical Collage Paper and a light wash of Antique Linen Distress Paint to tie in with the background.
I applied a coat of Distress Collage Medium Matte on the canvas panel, scribbled over the surface edges with a Black Soot Distress Crayon, blending it into the detail with a damp finger and highlighted the rough texture using a Picket Fence Distress Crayon.
I fixed the die-cut tags and Idea-ology Keepsakes Ephemera in place with Distress Collage Medium Matte and created shadows around the tags with a Tea Dye Distress Crayon and Distress Detailer Brush.
I die-cut the Tim Holtz/Sizzix Large Stem from Sizzix Matboard and brown foam. I intended to use the foam to create dimension but didn't use it). I coloured the flower with Tea Dye, Shabby Shutters and Peeled Paint Distress Inks using mini round blending tool, spritzed with water and blotted with kitchen towel.
I added Ranger Opague Matte Texture Paste to the Etcetera Scallop Trims and coloured with Distress Crayons in the same way as the background. I fixed the flower in place with Tim Holtz/Sizzix Mini Foam Adhesive, the trims with Distress Collage Medium Matt and decorated with moss from my stash and Idea-ology Keepsakes Ephemera.
I applied Ranger Opague Matte Texture Paste through the Bubbles Mini Layering Stencil from Set 6. I added Collage Medium Matte randomly over the panel using a small paintbrush, sprinkled on the Prima Mini Art Stones and spent the next 20 minutes on my hands and knees with Mr Dyson removing all trace of the escapees from the floor and the soles of my slippers.

I added splatters of Black Soot Distress Paint and used the dabber top to add paint around the edges of the canvas.
I added a small wooden tag from my stash, painted with Antique Linen Distress Paint, decorated with Idea-ology Remnant Rubs and added a twine bow.

Simon Says Stamp May Card Kit...Delicate Flowers

HI folks, yesterday was one of those horrible cold, damp and drizzly days so what better way to spend my time than, in my happy crafty place, playing with the Delicate Flowers - May Card Kit from Simon Says Stamp.
At the time of writing the kit is still available to buy or if you wish, you can purchase the items individually (see the links below). Seriously, you WILL NOT be disappointed with this kit, containing the gorgeous Delicate Flowers stamp set, the absolutely stunning Moda Scrap Let Your Soul Bloom 6" x 6" papers, envelopes and SSS cardstock and woohoo, also included are 3 beautiful colours of the amazing Tim Holtz Alcohol Pearl inks along with a mini Blending Solution, 2 sheets of Yupo Paper and 2 sheets of Tim Holtz Alcohol Ink Silver Sparkle Cardstock, everything you need to get you started on a fun Alcohol Pearl ink adventure.
I trimmed one of the sheets of Yupo Paper to create two 4" x 5.1/4 panels ready for some fun.
Here's the first card made with the panel on the left

I added drops of Sublime and Tranquil Alcohol Pearl inks with drops of Blending Solution on to the Yupo Paper and tipped the panel this way and that, letting them do their own thing. I picked up Blending Solution on the tip of a small brush and flicked to create those little splatters. I stamped the flower image from the Delicate Flower stamp with Versafine Onyx Black which I discovered will smear. I should have used Black Soot Archival but there was a way to cover up that mistake.
I stamped the leaves with the Black Soot Archival, re-stamped the flower on to white card and fussy cut. I added a few drops of the Tranquil Alcohol Pearl ink and Blending Solution to my Glass Media Mat and added shading to the flower with a small brush, blending out the Alcohol ink with the Blending Solution. I fixed the flower to the card with Tim Holtz/Sizzix Mini Foam Adhesive to create dimension and stamped the sentiment. I scored and folded the SSS Green Leaf Cardstock included in the kit to create an A5 card blank and added the panel.
Now for the second card

To create the panel, I brushed Blending Solution all over and dripped the Sublime, Tranquil and Intrique Alcohol Pearl inks across diagonally in stripes. I then used a brush to blend them together, added drops of Blending Solution and once it had worked it's magic, I created splatters as before. I dusted the panel liberally with an anti-static powder bag and stamped the flower and leaf images from the stamp set randomly on the panel using Versamark ink. I sprinkled with Ranger Superfine White Embossing Powder and heat set. I got my heat gun good and hot and kept it moving across the panel until the powder had melted. Yupo is a plastic type of paper and will warp and distort if you overheat it.

But this background was way too busy for me so I die-cut a circle aperture and backed it with a small piece of one of the Moda Scrap papers. No way will I be wasting any of these beauties.
I stamped the sentiment in the aperture and the flower and leaves with Versafine Onyx Black ink on to white card.
I fussy cut the flower and leaves and fixed to the panel using Distress Collage Medium Matte and Tim Holtz Mini Foam Adhesive to create dimension. I added Shimmering Ice Fusion Sequins and added the panel to an A5 card blank.
I can't wait to continue playing with this amazing card kit but it won't be today. I'm off on a jolly hockey sticks adventure to meet up with some very very special crafty friends for lunch, coffee and a good old blether. You enjoy your day whatever you have planned and I'll see you all tomorrow with my DT project for Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge.
Toodle-oo for now
