Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween my friends. Halloween is not a big celebration in the UK but hey, us Brits do like a good party and with so many Halloween products in my stash, there was no excuse not to join in the fun and organise a lunchtime Witches Pumpkin party.

I got covered in head to toe with Distress Rock Candy Glitter but had lots of fun decorating pumpkins and making decorations for the table.

Have fun if you are celebrating but don't let those ghosties and ghouls get you.

Simon Says - Thinking Of You

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

and the theme for this week is...
THINKING OF YOU
I created a set of Thinking Of You Notecards using Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Ticking and Grain, Dearly Departed, Sketchy Leaves stamped on Vellum and Simon Says Thinking Of You Heart die for the sentiments.
I trimmed Distress Watercolor card to create 3 - 4" x 5.1/4" panels. I stamped one of the backgrounds from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Ticking and Grain, inked with Crushed Olive, Frayed Burlap and Wild Honey Distress Archival on to the panels.
I inked the leaf image from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Sketchy Leaves with a mix of Distress Inks, Rusty Hinge, Peeled Paint, Forest Moss and Spiced Marmalade Distress inks, spritzed the stamp with water and stamped randomly on the panel to create a faded watercolor effect.
I inked the script stamp from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Dearly Departed with Rusty Hinge Distress Oxide ink and stamped randomly on the panels.
I stamped the Sketchy Leaves on to vellum, inked with Forest Moss Distress Oxide and Ground Espresso Distress Archival inks, sprinkled with Clear embossing powder, heat set and trimmed to leave a small border around the edge.
I fixed the leaves to the panels using a fine tip applicator to apply small dots of Distress Collage Medium to the centre veins and stems. I used Frayed Burlap and Ground Espresso Distress Oxides to shade the edges of the panels using mini round blending tools.
I added splatters of Fallen Acorn Distress Mica Stain
I die-cut Simon Says Thinking Of You Heart from black cardstock, trimmed off the heart section to leave just the words and fixed to the panels using Distress Collage Medium and a fine tip applicator.
To finish, I fixed the panels to A2 white card blanks and added Black Enamel dots to tie in with the black sentiments and some cut heart stickers I found in my stash.

Simon Says - Peace Love Joy

Happy Friday my friends, I'm back to share another card made with the Willow Snowflake and Winter Village dies from Simon Says Season Of Wonder release and the Tim Holtz/Ranger Wonderland and Ominous Twilight Distress Mica Stains to create the background.

I die-cut Simon Says Willow Snowflake from masking paper and fixed to a 4" x 5.1/4" panel of Distress Watercolor card.
I spritzed Wonderland and Ominous Twilight Distress Mica Stains on to the craft mat on my Glass Media Mat, spritzed with water and swiped the card through the inks, dried and tapped back in to the inks repeatedly to pick up the remaining droplets.
I removed the masks and check out the gorgeous shimmer and shine from the Distress Mica Stains.
I trimmed one of Simon Says Bold Acetate Christmas sentiments, placed a small strip of white card behind to make the words look more white against the background and fixed in place using foam squares to create dimension.
I die-cut the houses and trees using Simon Says CZ Designs Winter Village, the houses 3 times from Distress Watercolor card, the trees 3 times from Simon Says Black cardstock and layered to create dimension. I die-cut the houses again from card covered with Distress Rock Candy Glitter and the trees from Simon Says Black Luxe Glitter card.
I added small pieces of black cardstock behind the houses and fixed in place above the sentiment using Distress Collage Medium.
To finish I matted the panel on to an A2 white card blank and added iridescent gem stickers from my stash.
Have a great weekend whatever you have planned and I'll see you all on Monday to share my DT project for Simon Says Monday Challenge.
Happy Crafting

Winter Wishes

H my friends, it's been an "All Seasons" kind of a week, not only weatherwise but also in the cubbyhole. I started off the week making table decorations for my Halloween Witches Pumpkin party and had lots of fun glittering all the things with my Limited Edition Tim Holtz/Ranger Big Daddy bottle of Distress Rock Candy Glitter.

Then I moved on to Winter and created a card using the Willow Snowflake and Winter Village dies from Simon Says Stamp Season of Wonder release. I used Tim Holtz/Ranger Wonderland and Ominous Twilight Distress Mica Stains to colour the snowflakes and add splatters to the background and sentiments from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Festive Print.
I trimmed Simon Says Black Cardstock to 4" x 5.1/4" and added splatters of Wonderland Distress Mica Stain and White Gesso.
I die cut Simon Says Willow Snowflake from Distress Watercolor card and pressed into puddles of Wonderland and Ominous Twilight Distress Mica Stains which I spritzed with water.
Intricate die cuts can be a bit fiddly diddly to adhere and the thought of adding small drops of glue from a fine tip applicator to each teeny section of these snowflakes didn't fill me with joy so I'm sharing what works best for me. I squeeze Distress Collage Medium on to my Glass Media Mat, spread the adhesive out with my finger, pick up the die cut with tweezers and tap repeatedly into the adhesive.
I inked the sentiments from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Festive Print with Versamark ink, stamped on to scraps of Simon Says Black cardstock, sprinkled with white embossing powder and heat set. I trimmed the sentiments using Tim Holtz/Tonic Studios Mini Guillotine, the perfect tool for the job and fixed the sentiments in place with black foam squares to create dimension.
I added Trinity Stamps White Frosty Snowflakes Sprinkles
To finish, I die-cut the house and trees from Distress Watercolor card using Simon Says CZ Design Winter Village, fixed on top of the sentiment strip using black foam squares and matted the panel on to an A2 white card blank.

I'll be back tomorrow to share another wintry card using the same products. In the meantime, have fun with whatever you are creating.
