Merry Christmas Everyone

Hi my friends, only 2 more sleeps until Christmas and before I close up the Cubbyhole for the holidays, I'm sharing a card to wish you all a Merry Christmas from me and my adorable friend Stump using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Twig and Stump, Holiday Brushstrokes and Modern Festive Thinlits, Distress Kraft HeavyStock, Simon Says Snowflake Frame Die and Bold Acetate Christmas Sentiment Strips and Altenew Fine Frames Rectangles die, an oldie from my stash.

A bit of a last minute adventure using up the last of the bits and pieces sitting on my workdesk left over from making my holiday ornaments.
I die-cut Simon Says Snowflake Frame from Distress Watercolor card and the Altenew Fine Frames Rectangles from Distress Watercolor card and Kraft HeavyStock, separated the frames and fixed inside the Snowflake Frame by attaching double sided tape on the back. I attached one of the trees from the Twig and Stump Thinlits left over from making my holiday ornaments behind the frame and fixed the frame to an A2 Kraft HeavyStock card blank. I fixed the other tree and Stump to the front of the frame, added the greenery left over from the holiday ornaments and individual snowflakes from the Snowflake Frame die, die-cut from Distress Watercolor card.
I added Stump's hat, scarf, nose and arms and Simon Says Bold Acetate Christmas Sentiment Strips popped up on foam squares.

To finish I fixed the berries to the card and applied a coat of Aqua Shimmer to the berries and extra snowflakes.

I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas celebration with your family and friends, that Santa pops down your chimney with some crafty parcels from your wish list and I'll see you all soon.

Christmas Joy

Hi my friends, are you all organised for the big day? I've failed miserably in the "being my usual organised self" department this year but I'm slowly getting there and it will be alright on the night as they say!! I have also fallen short when it comes to the great intentions I had with the Christmas crafting makes, but hey, there's always next year, she says optimistically and I'm not beating myself up. I did, however, decide to use up all the left over die-cuts sitting on my workdesk before I shut the door on the cubbyhole and have made another card using the Simon Says Snowflake Frame die. I bought this die set a couple of years ago and never got round to using it and now it seems I'm obsessed.

I matted the Snowflake Frames, die-cut from Distress Watercolor card and layered to create dimension on to a panel from my backgrounds box, coloured using Prize Ribbon Distress Oxide ink. I used up the JOY die cut from Tim Holtz/Idea-ology Winter Deco Sheets, using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Bold Text Christmas and added Merry, die-cut from Simon Says Matte Silver Cardstock using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Christmas Ribbon Thinlits.
I had one lonely Tim Holtz Sizzix Stump left over from my holiday gift ornaments and just couldn't bear to throw him away. I die-cut his hat and scarf from Simon Says Silver Matte Cardstock and Distress Watercolor card and added shading using Prize Ribbon Distress Oxide ink using Simon Says Small Detail Blending Brush. I popped him up with foam squares to add dimension and added a snowflake from the Simon Says Snowflake Frame set. I trimmed the panel to 4" x 5.1/4" and fixed to an A2 white card blank.

I'll be back tomorrow to share my last Christmas card of 2022 and today I'll be hitting my local M&S for all those last minute bits and pieces and then finishing off the Christmas food prep. Don't despair my friends, we will get there, we always do and if you forget something, no one is going to know, just make sure it's not the main feature of the day, the turkey.

A Snowflake Frame Bonus Card

Hi my friends, I had a negative snowflake die-cut panel left over from yesterday's card and couldn't resist making another card, you could say it was a two for the price of one bonus.

I die-cut the Simon Says Snowflake Frame from an A2 panel of Distress Watercolor card and used the frame on yesterday's panel leaving me with the negative panel.
I removed the backing from a sheet of Tim Holtz Idea-ology Winter Deco Sheets which are self-adhesive, fixed to an A2 panel of Distress Watercolor card and die-cut using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Christmas CutOuts and Bold Text Christmas Thinlits. I die-cut again from scraps of Distress Watercolor card and once I had attached the panel to a card blank, pieced the die-cuts back into the negative spaces.
I fixed the die-cut panel to an A2 white card blank and fixed the snowflake frame on top.  I die-cut the Christmas CutOuts, Christmas Bold Text Thinlits and individual snowflakes from the Snowflake Frame from Simon Says Silver and Black Luxe Glitter Cardstock, fixed in place to create dimension and added a Tim Holtz/Idea-ology Metallic Sticker.
To finish I punched out tiny circles from the Simon Says Black Luxe Glitter Cardstock using a hand circle punch and added to the centres of the snowflakes.

Have fun with whatever  you are creating

Simon Says - Party Time

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too. This week's challenge will run for two weeks, so you have plenty of time to join in the fun.

and the theme for this week is...
PARTY TIME
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a White Christmas so I decided to go with a snowman/snowflake theme for my Boxing Day party invitations using Simon Says Snowflake Frame and Luxe Glitter Cardstock, Tim Holtz/Sizzix Twig and Stump and Alphanumeric Bold Thinlits.

I die-cut Simon Says Snowflake Frame from Distress Watercolor card and coloured with Prize Ribbon Distress Oxide ink using a mini round blending tool.
I die-cut the individual snowflakes from Simon Says Silver Luxe Glitter cardstock.
I fixed the snowflake frame to an A2 panel of Distress Watercolor card and fixed the die-cut snowflakes on top matched up with the  snowflakes around the frame. I added water splatters, dried and dabbed with a cloth to create the illusion of snow on the background.
I die-cut Stump from Distress Watercolor card and black cardstock and his arms from brown card using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Twig and Stump Thinlits, assembled and added shading around him using Prize Ribbon Distress Oxide ink. I fixed silver twine across the snowflake frame and added letters die-cut from red cardstock using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Alphanumeric Bold Thinlits.
I thought that the letters were too plain so I drew lines on red cardstock using a Sakura White Jelly Roll Pen, die-cut the letters again from this card and Distress Watercolor card edged with Prize Ribbon Distress Oxide ink and fixed on top of the original letters. I die-cut Stump's hat from the same card and his scarf from card coloured with Prize Ribbon and added his nose, die-cut from orange card.
I added extra snowflakes die-cut from Distress Watercolor card, masked off the sentiment from Simon's Says Let's Celebrate stamp set and stamped on the frame, inked with Simon Says Intense Black ink.
To finish, I trimmed the panel to 4" x 5.1/4", added shading to the edges with Prize Ribbon Distress Oxide ink using a mini round blending tool and matted on to an A2 white card blank.
