Simon Says - Bright and Cheerful

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

The first challenge of the month is when the Design Team showcase one particular brand/company and this month it's the turn of Katzelkraft. You don't have to use their products to join in the challenge but if you have them in your stash, we would love to see how you use them.
We are also welcoming back the lovely and very talented Alison Bomber aka Words and Pictures as our Designer In The Spotlight and if you haven't visited her blog before, pop over, you are in for a real treat.
The theme for this week is...
BRIGHT AND CHEERFUL
I had lots of fun making a bright and cheerful page in my Dina Wakley 6" x 6" White Media Journal  featuring Katzelkraft's adorable Elephant Napoleon and I used Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Eccentric Stamp Set, Tiles and Rays Mini Layering Stencils and daisies from Tim Holtz/Sizzix Bunny Games Thinlits to add interest on the Distress Oxide background.

I began by trimming Distress Watercolor to 5.1/2" square and coloured by smooshing Stormy Sky and Faded Jeans Distress Oxide inks on to the craft mat on my glass media mat. spritzed with water and laid the card on to the inks, dried and tapped back in to pick up the remaining droplets.
I added Mustard Seed and Twisted Citron Distress Oxide inks through the Rays and Tiles Mini Layering Stencils using mini round blending tools.
I stamped the images from Katzelkraft Elephant Napoleon, inked with Black Soot Distress Archival on to the panel as a guide for placement and again on to Distress Watercolor card.
I coloured the images with Hickory Smoke, Antique Linen, Barn Door and Pumice Stone Distress Ink re-inkers using a Distress Detailer Brush and fussy cut.
I fixed the elephant and suitcase on the panel using Distress Collage Medium Matte and fixed the hat and collar and tie with foam adhesive to create dimension.
I added images from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Eccentric inked with Black Soot and Fired Brick Distress Archival and script from The Chemist inked with Prize Ribbon Distress Archival.
I fixed Sizzix Adhesive Sheet to Black Alcohol Ink Cardstock and die-cut the sentiment using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Tiny Type |Lower Thinlits.
I fixed the letters in place with the help of my trusty Tim Holtz Squeezers from the Shaping Kit.
I die-cut the daisies from coloured and Distress Watercolor card, back with Sizzix Adhesive Sheet, using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Bunny Games Thinlits and fixed to the panel.
I

To finish I matted the panel on to Simon Says Slate Cardstock, trimmed 1/8" bigger and fixed in the journal using Distress Collage Medium Matte.
