Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because
and the theme for this week is...
FRAME IT
I used Tim Holtz/Sizzix Floral Frame 3D Impresslits and Ideaology Found Relatives as the main feature on an Art Journal page. I used Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Floral Elements and Eccentric stamp sets, Mosaic Mini Layering Sgtencil and Distress Crackle Texture Paste to create the background and decorated with Tim Holtz/Sizzix Brushstroke Flowers 4 Thinlits.
I began by trimming Distress Watercolor card 5" x 7", smooshed Bundled Sage and Frayed Burlap Distress Oxide inks on to the craft mat on my Glass Media Mat and spritzed with water. I tapped the flower and leaf images from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Floral Elements into the inks and stamped randomly over the panel. I added Idea-ology Ephemera, torn Stencil Card and stamped images from Eccentric inked with Vintage Photo and Ground Espresso Distress Archivals. I applied Distress Texture Crackle Paste through the Mosaic Mini Layering Stencil from Set 28, sprinkled lightly with Speckled Egg, Saltwater Taffy and Salvaged Patina Distress Embossing Glazes and heat set once the paste had dried. I scribbled Frayed Burlap Distress Crayon over the texture paste and used a damp Distress Blending Brush to smooth out the crayon and accent the crackles.
I die-cut the Tim Holtz/Sizzix Floral Frame 3D Impresslits which cuts and embosses in one pass, from Distress Watercolor card, used a Distress Embossing Pen over the detail on the frame, sprinkled with Saltwater Taffy, Speckled Egg and Salvaged Patina Distress Embossing Glazes and heat set.
I used the same technique as previously with the Frayed Burlap Distress Crayon and Distress Blending Brush to create a soft vintage grungy look on the frame.
I die-cut the flowers and leaves from Distress Watercolor card using Tim Holtz/Sizzix BrushStroke Flowers 4 Thinlits and coloured with Saltwater Taffy, Bundled Sage, Frayed Burlap and Mustard Seed Distress Oxides using a Distress Detailer Brush.
I fixed the leaves to the panel using Distress Collage Medium, the flowers popped up with foam adhesive and added Eccentric Remnant Rubs. Why don't you pop over to the Monday Challenge Blog and check out the amazing creations from my very talented Design Team mates and as always you have until Monday 8am Ohio time...1pm UK time...2pm CET to join in with the chance to win a $25 voucher to spend online at Simon Says Stamp
