Hi my friends, you will all know by now that Uncharted Mariner, the most gorgeous turquoise blue, is the new colour to join the Tim Holtz/Ranger Distress family. I'm always curious to see how a new colour sits with the other colours in the line which means it's time for me to have fun, make some backgrounds and then turn them into cards
I trimmed Distress Watercolor card to 4" x 5.1/4", smooshed Antique Linen/Uncharted Mariner Distress Oxide inks and Uncharted Mariner Distress Ink on to the craft mat on my Glass Media Mat, spritzed with water, laid the panel into the inks, dried, tapped back into the remaining droplets repeatedly, dried between layers until I was happy with the background.I fixed the frame from the Idea-ology Ephemera Memoir pack in place with Distress Collage Medium, applied Distress Translucent Crackle Paste through the Blossom Mini Layering Stencil from Set 8, sprinkled with Salvaged Patina and Uncharted Mariner Distress Embossing Glazes and heat set once the paste had dried.
I used Walnut Stain Distress Crayon with a damp blending brush to accentuate the crackle and applied Distress Texture Paste through the Dot Fade Mini Layering Stencil from Set 4.I added Idea-ology Ephemera Snippets/Memoir, a sentiment from Idea-ology Label Stickers Thoughts, Transparent Wings butterfly and matted the panel on to an A2 white card blank.
Enjoy your weekend whatever you have planned and have fun with whatever you are making.
Hugs Kath xxx
