Simon Says - Something Beginning with "S"

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

and the theme for this week is...

SOMETHING BEGINNING WITH "S"

I created a card to welcome the arrival of Summer. I used Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Bubbles with Distress Embossing Glazes for the background, Floral Elements coloured with Distress Oxide inks, Tim Holtz/Sizzix Bold Text Thinlits and a sentiment from the Idea-ology Metallic Sticker Book.

I inked the Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Bubbles stamp with Distress Embossing ink and stamped on to a 4.3/4" x 6.3/4" panel of Distress Watercolor card. I sprinkled Saltwater Taffy, Fossilized Amber and Salvaged Patina Distress Embossing Glazes over the ink, tapped from underneath with my fingers to blend the glazes, tapped off the excess and heat set.

I coloured panels of Distress Watercolor card with Saltwater Taffy/Fossilized Amber and Salvaged Patina/Evergreen Bough Distress Oxide inks.

I inked the images from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Floral Elements with Black Soot Distress Archival ink and stamped on to the panels.

I fussy cut the flowers and leaf stems and shaped using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Shaping Kit. I added dots of Distress Collage Medium to the flower centres, sprinkled with Stampendous Frantage Aged Black Embossing Powder and heat set.

I coloured a scrap of #Distress Watercolor card with Saltwater Taffy and Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide inks, over-stamped with Bubbles inked with Black Soot Distress Archival ink and die-cut the word Hello using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Bold Text Thinlits.

I die-cut the word Hello again 3 times from Distress Watercolor card, layered to create dimension and fixed to the panel with Distress Collage Medium Matte using Simon Says Pawsitively Everything T Square Ruler to help with alignment. I fixed the flowers and leaf stems in placed popped up on foam adhesive.

To finish I added a sentiment from Tim Holtz Idea-ology Metallic Sticker book, matted the panel on to Simon Says Black cardstock, trimmed to leave a small border and fixed to a 5" x 7" white card blank.
