Simon Says - Add Some Green

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

It's the first challenge of the month and that means the Design Team are showcasing products from one particular brand/company and this month we are all using AALL&Create products. You don't have to use them to join in the challenge but if you have them, we would love to see how you use them.
We are also welcoming the lovely and talented Deborah Emmons aka designingdiva_73/ as this month's Designer In The Spotlight and you can check out her fabulous work over on her Instagram Account.

The theme for this week is...
ADD SOME GREEN
created a card using colours of green from the Distress Palette on the background, AALL&Create Heapz Hexagonz Stencil with Distress Texture Paste Matte, Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Faded Type with Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide ink and Distress Embossing Glaze. I added flowers die-cut using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Seasonal Sketch Thinlits from Distress Watercolor card coloured with Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide Spray and Spray Stain and added Idea-ology Quotations Metallic Stickers.

I began by trimming Distress Watercolor card 4.1/2" x 6.1/2", smooshed the Mustard Seed and Shabby Shutters Distress Oxide ink pads on to the craft mat on my Glass Media Mat, added a spritz of Peeled Paint Distress Spray Stain and water, laid the panel on to the inks and dried. I tapped the panel back into the inks to pick up the remaining droplets and dried.
I applied Forest Moss Distress Oxide ink using the larger hexagon sections on the AALL&Create Heapz Hexagonz Stencil and Distress Texture Paste through the smaller dot sections. To keep the Texture Paste white, I sprinkled with White Detail Embossing Powder and once the Texture Paste had dried, heat set.
I inked the image from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Faded Type with Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide ink, stamped randomly on the background, sprinkled with Saltwater Taffy Distress Embossing Glaze and heat set.
I coloured Distress Watercolor card with Saltwater Taffy Distress Spray Stain and Distress Oxide Spray, die cut the solid petals from Tim Holtz/Sizzix Seasonal Sketch Thinlits, darkened the edges with Ground Espresso Distress Ink using a mini round blending tool and die-cut the open petal from Distress Watercolor card.
I fixed the flowers to the panel using Distress Collage Medium, added adhesive to only the centres of the open petals and fixed in place slightly offset. I added Distress Collage Medium to the flower centres, sprinkled with Stampendous Frantage Aged Black Embossing Enamel and heat set. I also sprinkled the Aged Black Embossing Enamel over the background and heat set from underneath.
I added Idea-ology Quotations Metallic Stickers
I finished by matting the panel on to Idea-ology Black KraftStock trimmed to 4.7/8" x 6.7/8" and fixed to a 5" x 7" white card blank.
