Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because
and the theme for this week is...
FEMININE
I created a page in my Dylusions Journal dedicated to an Edwardian Lady, using Tim Holtz Villainous Potion and Mustard Seed Distress Oxide inks, Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Flourish Mini Layering Stencil with Distress Transparent Grit Paste and Sterling Distress Foundry Wax, a brand new innovative and unique product from Tim Holtz and Ranger, Mosaic Layering Stencil with Distress Texture Paste Crackle. I added Idea-ology Entomology Collage Paper, Found Relative, Ephemera, Clippings Stickers, Transparent Wings and flowers die-cut from Distress Watercolor Card using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Wildflower Stems 1.
I began by trimming Distress Watercolor card to 5" x 7", spritzed with Villainous Potion and Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide Sprays and Villainous Potion Distress Spray Stain and dried. I applied Distress Translucent Grit Paste through the Mini Flourish Layering Stencil from Set 9. Once the paste had dried, I added 3 or 4 drops of the Sterling Silver Foundry Wax to the craft mat on my Glass Media Mat, mixed with my finger until it became creamy, applied over the textured areas and the background and heat set which brings out the magical shine. I stamped the images from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Dearly Departed on the background inked with Black Soot Distress Archival and Villianous Potion Distress Oxide ink.
I spritzed the page in my Dylusions Journal with Mustard Seed and Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide Sprays, spritzed with water to lighten and dried. I fixed the panel in place with Distress Collage Medium and applied Distress Crackle Texture Paste through the Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Mosaic Layering Stencil. Once the paste was dry, I added torn strips of Tim Holtz Idea-ology Entomology Collage Paper randomly over the page, accented the crackle using Hocus Pocus Pearl and Walnut Stain Distress Crayons and rubbed on a little Sterling Silver Foundry Wax.
I created a collage using Idea-ology Ephemera, a photo from Found Relatives, a Transparent Alpha Tile and lace from my stash.
I die-cut the flowers from Distress Watercolor card using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Wildflower Stems 1 and coloured the centres with Mustard Seed Distress Oxide ink using a Distress Blending Brush.
I fixed the flowers in place with Distress Collage Medium and added Idea-ology Transparent Wings.
To finish I added Idea-ology Tiny Text Remnant Rubs and Clipping Stickers and scribbled around the edges of the stickers with a black marker pen.
