Simon Says very kindly sent me the Floral Mom Frame die from the release to play with...
I die cut the frame which measures 4.1/4" x 5.1/2" from SSS #120 Ultra White Cardstock
I laid the panel on a sheet of SSS #120 Ultra White card, placed in my Splatbox and spritzed with Picked Raspberry, Fossilized Amber and Peeled Paint Distress Oxide Sprays. I then spritzed water to oxidise the colours and blotted with kitchen towel.
and voila...two card panels for the price of one
I matted the panel on to SSS Black Cardstock and fixed to a 4.1/2" x 5.3/4" white card blank using 3D Foam Adhesive
I stamped the sentiments from Simon Says Stamp Beautiful Flowers for all 3 cards, inked with SSS Intense Black on SSS #120 Ultra White or Versamark heat embossed with Ranger Superfine White Embossing Powder on to black card and added Shimmering Ice Fusion Sequins.
I added splatters of White Gesso and coloured the sentiment strip with Picked Raspberry and Fossilized Amber Distress Oxides using a Detailer Brush
For the second card, I trimmed down the negative spritzed panel and matted on to a 4.1/2" x 5.3/4" white card blank.
For the third card, I die cut another panel and coloured as before with Distress Oxide Sprays. We are more inclined to use "Mum" rather than Mom in the UK, so I performed a little bit of surgery on the die cut before fixing to a 4.1/2" x 5.3/4" white card blank. Again I used a Sakura Micron Black Pen to add faux stitching around the letters and a Sakura Black Jelly Roll Pen to accent the flower centres.

I love all the cards, the negative one might just be my favourite and I love how you 'doctored' the 'O' to give it a more British feel too - clever! Hugs, Anne xx
ReplyDeleteThanks for doctoring that O - mom offends me despite growing up in a largely American community & both kids married to/living there! Brilliant colours for a still glum season:-)
