Simon Says - Peace Love and Joy

Happy Saturday my friends, the last day of November already and before the Simon Says Stamp DieCember celebrations get underway, I'm sharing another Poinsettia card using Simon Says Stamp Tall Poinsettia and Scripty Peace dies from the Festive Fun release.

trimmed Distress Kraft HeavyStock to 4" x 5.1/4", stamped Simon Says Old Letter stamp, inked randomly with White Pigment ink on to the panel, sprinkled with White Detail Embossing Powder and heat set.
I stamped the large snowflake from Simon Says Home For The Holidays, inked with Versamark ink, sprinkled with Simon Says Gold Embossing Powder and heat set.I inked around the edges of the panel with Scorched Timber Distress ink using a Distress Tiny Blending Tool and added splatters of Antique Linen Distress Spritz.I die-cut Simon Says Tall Poinsettia from Distress Watercolor card and coloured with Antique Linen Distress Oxide, Cabbage and Artichoke Pawsitively Saturated Mini Ink Cubes using Simon Says Round Detail Blending Brushes.
I die-cut the Scripty Peace shadow from Vellum and the word 4 times from Simon Says Gold Matte cardstock and layered to create dimension.I die-cut the word again twice from Distress Watercolor card and fixed behind the vellum which raises the sentiment up to create more dimension.
I fixed the Poinsettia in place using Distress Collage Medium on the leaves and stem and foam squares on the flower and added Pink Fresh Studio Gold Glitter drops to the centre of the flower and snowflakes.
I fixed the panel to the Gold Matte cardstock panel I had used to die-cut, waste not, want not
To finish I fixed the panel to an A2 white card blank and added a Simon Says Bold Christmas Acetate Sentiment Strip to complete the sentiment.

I'll be back tomorrow to share a project using products from the Simon Says DieCember release, in the meantime, happy crafting.

Simon Says - Poinsettia Swag

Hello my friends, I'm sharing a card made with Simon Says Stamp Poinsettia Swag 4" x 6" stamp set from the Festive Fun release and Holiday Messages 4" x 6" stamp set from the Sweet Wishes release. Poinsettias, with their beautiful coloured bracts, are synonymous with Christmas and are a particular favourite of mine. However, I fail every year to keep these plants alive after the festive season -  any hints or tips would be much appreciated.

I stamped the Poinsettia Swag image on to a 4" x 5.1/4" panel of Distress Watercolor card, inked with Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink, sprinkled with Simon Says Clear Embossing Powder and heat set. I coloured using Carved Pumpkin, Festive Berries, Shabby Shutters and Hickory Smoke Distress Watercolor Pencils and a Distress Detailer Brush. I scribbled the Shabby Shutter Distress Watercolor Pencil on to my craft mat, spritzed with water and used a large paintbrush to apply a light wash on the background.
I stamped the word "Joy" from Simon Says Holiday Messages, inked with Festive Berries Distress Oxide ink, sprinkled with Simon Says Clear Embossing Powder and added the small sentiments, inked with Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink.
I added splatters of Tim Holtz Gilded Foundry Wax and heat set.
To finish I used Tim Holtz Distress Tool to rough up the edges, matted on to Simon Says Lipstick Red Cardstock and fixed to an A2 white card blank.

Have a great weekend whatever you have planned and I'll be back tomorrow to share another Poinsettia card.

Simon Says - Trees

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

and the theme for this week is...
TREES
I created Christmas home decor projects to gift to friends using Tim Holtz Idea-ology Vignette Boxes covered with Christmas KraftStock Sparkle paper and decorated with Christmas 2024 Baseboards and Transparencies, 2024 Typography, Woodland Tree Lot, Christmas Confections, Baubles Findings, with lots of  Distress Texture Paste Opague dusted with Distress Rock Candy Glitter.

I trimmed Tim Holtz/Ideaology Christmas KraftStock Sparkle paper to fit the front and sides on one of the Idea-ology Vignette Boxes and fixed in place with Distress Collage Medium.
On the second box, I fixed the paper to all the sides, painted the front with Faded Jeans Distress Paint and fixed Christmas Collage Paper on top once the paint had dried.
I added Idea-ology 2024 Typography letters to the first box using a hot glue gun.
I applied a coat of Distress Collage Medium to a window from Tim Holtz/Idea-ology Christmas Baseboards and Transparencies and once dry, rubbed Hickory Smoke Distress Crayon over the surface to give it a more grungy look.
I applied Distress Texture Paste Opaque using a palette knife and sprinkled with Distress Rock Candy Glitter.
I fixed a snowfall transparency behind the window and fixed on the front of the second box.
I sprayed Tim Holtz/|Idea-ology Woodland Lot Trees and Woodlands Garland with Rustic Wilderness Distress Spray Stain.
I applied a generous layer of Distress Texture Paste Opaque to the tops of both boxes and sprinkled with Distress Rock Candy Glitter. I added the trees, decorated with Idea-ology Christmas Droplets, Baubles Findings with their glittery overcoat, pine cones, Christmas Confections and wooden cubes from my stash painted with Lumberjack Plaid Distress Paint and tied up with gold sparkle thread to the first box using my hot glue gun.

I repeated on the second box, adding Idea-ology Typography, an Idea-ology Salvaged Deer, painted with Sterling Foundry Wax and heat set and an Idea-ology Christmas Flair button.

Simon Says - Bundle Up

Hello my friends, I'm sharing another card using the Warmest Wishes 6" x 8" stamp set and Snowflake Adhesive Transfer Sheets from Simon Says Stamp December Card Kit and with the heavy snow that has fallen in the UK over the last few days, it's definitely Stay Cozy and Bundle Up weather. You can check out all the fabulous products included in the kit, subscribe if you don't already or purchase individual items from the kit HERE.

I trimmed two of the Simon Says Snowflake Adhesive Transfers from the sheet, removed the backing, placed on an A2 panel of Distress Watercolor card and ran through my laminator. I peeled off the transfers, covered with Silver Iridescent Foil and ran through the laminator again.
I smooshed the Artichoke Pawsitively Saturated ink pad on to my Glass Media Mat, spritzed with water and dragged the panel through the ink, dried and tapped back into the ink droplets until I was happy with the coverage.
I inked the "Hygge" definition stamp from the Warmest Wishes stamp set with Artichoke Pawsitively Saturated ink and stamped repeatedly over the background.
I stamped the sweater, mittens, leaves and berry clusters, inked with Pucker, Latte and Artichoke Pawsitively Saturated inks on to Distress Watercolor card and fussy cut. I fixed the leaves and berry clusters to the panel with Distress Collage Medium and added the sweater and mittens popped up on 3D foam squares.
I stamped the extra sentiments inked with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink
I trimmed the panel to 3.3/4" x 5" and fixed to an A2 white card blank.

I'll be back soon to share another card made with the December 2024 card kit. In the meantime, have fun with whatever you're making.
