100 Posts - it's hard to believe that I only started blogging at the end of February. Most of it has probably been me waffling away in my little crafty world with a few cards added in here and there for good measure. Can I just say that I am honoured that you have taken the time to pay me a visit and thank you all for the kind comments - they are really appreciated. I am truly amazed by all the talented folk out there and I love visiting your blogs too - I am blown away by the kindness and generosity of you all and it's been a privilege to get to know you. It's great fun but a tad addictive - am usually found blog hopping when I should be cardmaking. As a little thank you I am giving away some blog candy but there is a catch......leave a comment on my blog and tell me who your Crafting hero is/or who has inspired you and also kindly put a link on your own blog.
Well I have 2........
Can you guess.......The Maestro himself...the one.....the only....wait for the drum roll......the legend that is.......MR TIM HOLTZ.....and can I just add that I wouldn't mind being marooned on a desert island with him either and what a bonus if he brought along his crafty goodies.
AND....
from Hero Arts....SHARI CARROLL......I love her style, very talented lady.
The winner will be chosen at random on Sunday 25th May at 7.30pm. so get those commenting fingers working.

I have a little something for you on my blo! I'm away to think about my answers to your giveaway and will be back!
ReplyDeleteI have lots and lots of people who inspire me but I will only choose two as well.
ReplyDeleteIndigo Studios and Mish Mash
Congrats on your 100 hits, don't blink too often because before you know it you will be looking at 500 and so on. Moves pretty quick!
My inspiration comes from many people and places but the biggest influence over the last 2 years has been Donna Downey. I enjoy reading her blog and watching her create canvases on her videos. She is very down-to-earth and uses stuff you would have in your craft supplies to make art. Very cool!

I have loads but my main hero is Jo Kill cos I just love her style and I also really love Sir Tim of Holtz and Stampingmathilde always has inspiring stuff on her blog.

ReplyDeleteYour work is fantastic and equally inspiring.
Keep up the good work
Hi, Kath.. Have linked your giveaway to my blog (link at end of comment). And I have several crafting heroes who have inspired me...
ReplyDeleteI am not so keen on Dawn Bibby's style now, but it was her shows on QVC that got me started, so will always owe a debt of gratitude there.
Tim Holtz is the biggest one who leaves me open-mouthed in awe, but then... so do you, Kath. And the rest of our Funky Hand team.

Wow! I have don't quite remember how I got to your site, but what a find!!! I have two inspriations that I use (sometimes without much inspiration) and that would be my two kids. They are so crafty and actually thoughtful (that was so mushy!!). I do check out www.thepinkstamper.blogspot.com and Andrea Walford. You have a true gift (or an addiction!). Well done!

Congratulations on your blogging achievements! I love my little blog..don't know if anyone looks at it, but it is great therapy! lol
It will be a pleasure to link!
Cheers!
Silly me...I forgot to mention my 'inspiration'.
ReplyDeleteMy Scrappy friends are my inspiration and my scrapping force! Without them I wouldn't have started on this scrapping journey. Cheers!
Congrats on your 100. My main source of inspiration is my SON. Yes!!! My little one, without him, and "everything that surrounds him" like friends, pets and family, I don't think I would have done all the scrapping I have done until now. When I see his pictures, juices of creation start flowing.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Sonia
My stamping friends are great (they are in the sidebar of my blog). I am inspired by those who can make it look effortless.

Share your views on Tim Holtz but I'm particularly inspired by those people who haven't had art training but are making a living out of their craft passion. I'm about to set up my own business so I'm inspired by those who are there already, eg Shaz of Funky Fairy Papercrafts.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance of the stash.
