Hi folks...they say you can never have too much of a good thing...well let me tell you that is a total load of bo***cks as I found out when I donned my Easter Bunny Hat on Sunday and set off to deliver Easter Chocolate delights to the grandkiddies...my eyes kept straying to the bumper bundle of chocolate staring at me from the passenger seat and feeling a little bit left out I popped in past Tesco en route for a little Mini Egg treat...with hindsight a bit of a mistake. Swayed by the marketing ploy that it's definitely better value to buy 2 for £2.00 than one for £1.20 I continued my journey stuffing them into my gob as I drove. I know I should have showed some restraint after finishing one bag but you know what's it like when you have no willpower and they are so darned moreish...2 bags demolished by the time I arrived at my destination and oh boy was I feeling rather green around the gills and ready to swear that another Mini Egg would never ever pass my lips...lesson learned...I very much doubt it if past over-indulgence experiences are anything to go by..give me a few days to recover and I'd be tempted to do it all over again.
In the meantime...the good news is
The Retreat workshop kits are done dusted and packed ready to go...
just the materials list to check and pack and woohoo...another job ticked off the crafty list...
sharing one last sneaky peek...
does this mean that I'm now foot loose and fancy free to have a play day...probably not...the household chores have been sadly neglected...the cupboards are bare and there's a pile of ironing the size of Mount Everest so it looks like I'm in for a domestic goddess day...catch up with you all tomorrow over at
WOYWW.
Hugs Kath xxx
...sounds like you've been busy busy Kath and had an egg-tastic day, mini eggs are a total distraction and sound come with a government health warning stating over indulgence quite likely! still once a year it's do-able...Melxx :)
ReplyDeleteOMG! I am addicted to mini eggs too! They are my only easter candy downfall,,,can't pass them by!
ReplyDeleteThey are also my favourite Kath and it was my birthday yesterday so I had cake too ....mmmm...but it is only once a year ! Happy Tuesday Jane x
ReplyDeleteIt's a good job that I don't like mini eggs then.....but then I have never tried them! Plain choc all the way for me. Good that you got your workshop things prepared, hope the chores go as well. Hugs, Anne x
ReplyDeleteI get it, i got all piggy with a chocolate cake over easter - a huge slice with chocolate icing and chocolate eggs on it...gave me a huge headache!! Love the sneak peek vy much, your organisation looks as attractive as the finished stuff...love me a few kits when ready!!
ReplyDeleteNo chocolate today then. I wish I was coming to The Retreat, have fun, I know you will.
ReplyDeleteGlad you've got everything done - enjoy The Retreat. Know what you mean about overindulging. I did the same with Galaxy Mini Eggs. Mmm ... lovely while I was demolishing two bags (2 for £1.00, bargain)but felt a bit seedy by the time I'd finished :)
ReplyDeleteHi Kath, Intrigued by the sneaky peeks, looks exciting as always. Don't you just hate it when the domestic chores creep up behind you just as you are about to sit down and play? I didn't get any eggs this year but I may just buy a bag of those scrummy minis when I hit the shops later.
ReplyDeletebye for now have a great day
Val x
Oh dear Kath - glad to hear you've recovered sufficiently to tell the tale. Wish I could be smuggled into your boot - perhaps on second thoughts I'd be rather green about the gills.
ReplyDeletePerhaps Buddy could give you a hand with the dusting.
Paula (PEP)
glad I'm not the only one that gets fooled by these offers and ends up regretting it xx
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely to have some sunshine - trouble is it shows up all the dust - so I too am giving the place a blast today. Then later I am making a huge carrot cake traybake (topped off with cream cheese icing and piped carrot characters with green hair) to take to my ukulele club tomorrow as we break up for a month. I'll try not to eat any myself - I over-chocced at Easter too! X
ReplyDeleteHi Kath, I know how you felt, I did the same with a peanut chocolate bar yesterday, started with the usual wee slice then another and another until the whole thing had dissapeared. The one wee slice usually does the job but not yesterday, must be something in the air! Hope you all have a great time at the retreat, it all looks very interesting in those boxes...Trish
ReplyDeleteI know exactly how you felt, to many chocolate biscuits and gateaux here. Glad you have managed to get all the jobs done for the retreat. Wish I was coming.
ReplyDeleteHugs x ChrisB
Hi Kath & Buddy,
ReplyDeleteSounds like a typical Easter! I managed to avoid overindulging this year by not going anywhere lol. Glad your kits are all done. Hope you feel better soon.
I am happy that you have so much beautiful materials and tools for your crafts. But, the most important is that you knowhow to use it and make beautiful crafts.
ReplyDeleteThank you for share!
