I should have known...

Hi folks...I should have known things in the DIY department were going too well and silly me for polishing my halo because they do say that pride comes before a fall...little did I know that yesterday's plans were about to go spectacularly pear shaped when I followed the Furry Hooligan down a wet muddy grassy bank...slipped and landed like a sack of potatoes twisting my knee. Note to self...four legs are much more stable than two in such a situation. It's fine now after a TLC session with a cold compress last night but with the clock ticking on the DIY deadline..I had to sweet talk hubby into picking up a paintbrush and finishing off the door and radiator...woohoo another painting adventure done and dusted and I can't wait for the new comfy seating to arrive on Wednesday all ready for Wimbledon...
But of course...it meant that my planned hot date with this month's tag just didn't happen and I'll be taking a rain check today...(ha...how appropriate considering it's still persisting with drizzly rain here) but not enough to dampen our spirits...the Friday Girls are hitting the road for a magical mystery tour of the countryside stopping off for coffee and lunch with lots of gossip and chat in between. But everything's ready and waiting on my workdesk and I'll be raring to go on this month's tag adventure bright and early tomorrow morning.
And I have a naughty confession...I just couldn't resist a few minutes playtime with the new Infusions from PaperArtsy...wow...just a few sprinkles of two colours...some swishing back and forth with some gel medium and hey presto...magic happens...they are amazing...great for super speedy journal backgrounds...woohoo can't wait to play.
Have a great weekend everyone...let's all pray for some sunshine and I'll see you all on Monday for a brand new challenge over at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog...you still have lots of time to join in the fun and who knows you may be the lucky winner of a $50 spending spree in their fabulous online one-stop store.

  1. Glad the TLC sorted out the knee Kath.
Well done hubby on getting the painting finished for you and that mini playtime with the colours looks interesting. It will be great to see what you come up with when you get to 'play' a bit more.
    Have a great weekend.
