Another Correspondence Journal...

Hi folks...I'm back to share another Journal decorated with Tim Holtz Idea-ology Correspondence Stash Paper, with a masculine twist. A very different look from the previous Pretty In Pink one but it just goes to show how versatile Tim's products are, pretty them up if that's your thing or unleash your inner grunge, whatever takes your fancy.

As before, I fixed the Correspondence paper to the Sizzix Mat Board with Distress Collage Medium Matte, my favourite go-to adhesive and die cut the front and back covers using the Sizzix/Eileen Hull Scoreboards XL Journal Die.
I repeated the process for the closure tab, which is one of three included on the die. I then covered the inside of the covers with Correspondence papers and repunched the holes with my Crop-a-Dile.
I added strips cut from contrasting Correspondence papers to the inside of the covers and stamped the typewriter image from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Inventor 1 with Black Soot Archival Ink.
I cut out 4 panels from contrasting papers, applied Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink with a mini round blending tool to create a vintage look, inked the edges with Black Soot Distress Oxide ink and fixed to the front cover. I coloured Ranger Opague Texture Paste with a drop of Black Soot Distress Re-inker and applied throught the Typo Layering Stencil.
I stamped the typewriter image on to Idea-ology Plain Collage Paper, painted the back of the paper with Picket Fence Distress Paint and once it was dry, fixed to the cover using Distress Collage Medium Matte. I applied Ranger Opague Texture Paste through the Stitches Mini Layering stencil from Set 33
I stamped a selection of images from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Stamp Collector with Aged Mahogany, Abandoned Coral, Faded Jeans Distress Oxides and Tea Dye Distress Ink on to Distress Watercolor card. I cut out the images and inked around the edges to create a more vintage look.
I added Idea-ology Correspondence Design Tape, more Texture Paste Stitches, Special Delivery Remnant Rubs and fixed the stamps in place.

I die cut circles from the Correspondence papers, decorated with Idea-ology Numbers Remnant Rubs and added Idea-ology Small Talk Snarky Stickers.

I changed my mind about the closure and used a striped trim from my stash and an Idea-ology Buckle instead.

And, on that note, the cubbyhole crew can procrastinate no longer. Today's the day that the Furry member of the team and his Mum hope to be wildly successful in making a Father's Day card and I suspect that someone may need a serious "get rid of those pesky 3D foam pads" session at the end of it all. In the meantime, have fun whatever you're doing.
Hugs Kath xxx
