AALL& Create Guest Designer - Have A Quacking Christmas

Hi folks, I'm sharing another Guest Designer project for AALL&Create using Olga Heldwein's Quack The Duck #135 stamp set with Stencils  #39 Lotza Dotz and #45 Digital Bubbles designed by Autour DeMwa to create a fun whimsical Christmas Card. I adore these cuties and couldn't resist dressing them up in their Santa party hats ready for the Chrismas Celebrations and I'm sure you would have a Quacking Christmas if you were invited round to their place.

I trimmed white card to measure 4" x 8" and applied a light coat of Tumbled Glass Distress Paint using a brayer. I applied Evergreen Bough Distress Paint through Stencil #45 Digital Bubbles using a mini round blending tool

I applied Ranger Opaque White Texture Paste through Stencil #39 Lotza Dotz

and Candied Apple Distress Oxide Ink using a mini round blending tool to add small dots of red. I masked off the large circle on the stencil and added larger red dots randomly on the background.

I looked out some chipboard letters from my stash, fixed them to a sheet of Tim Holtz/Sizzix Sticky Grid Sheet, applied a coat of White Gesso using a mini round blending tool.

Once dry I coloured some of the letters with Candied Apple Distress Oxide ink, pouncing the colour on with the mini round blending tool and added dots to the others using Stencil #39 Lotza Dots.

I stamped the images from Quack The Duck #135 on to Strathmore Bristol Smooth Card with Versafine Onyx Black

and coloured using Zig Clean Color Brushes and an Arteza Water Brush

I fixed the chipboard letters in place with Distress Collage Medium Matte and added the uncoloured duck images arranged to look as though they are sitting on top of the letters. I added lines and scribbles around the edge of the panel using a Sakura Micron Black Pen.

I added the coloured images on top popped up on Tim Holtz/Sizzix Mini Foam Adhesive, hand drew, coloured and fussy cut Santa hats and added a fluffy pom pom to each hat.

I painted the fur on the hats, the white chipboard letters and some of  the Texture Paste stencilled dots on the background with White Gesso and while it was wet sprinkled with Diamond Dust Glitter.

I added splatters of White Gesso and finished off by adding Tim Holtz Idea-ology Label Letters to complete the sentiment.
