Simon Says - B is for Baubles...

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog...thank you for joining us for last week's challenge...we hope you can join us this week too because...

The first challenge of a new month means the Design Team are showcasing products from a particular company and this month we are using the fabulous products from Brutus Monroe.
We are also welcoming the lovely and super talented Ann Barnes aka Aksbarchitect into the Designer Spotlight. If you haven't visited Ann's blog before then you are in for a real treat! Please hop on over to say 'Hi' and leave her a lovely comment.

and the theme for this week is...
B is for BAUBLES

I made a card featuring Whimsy Decor Baubles and used Brutus Monroe Mermaid Lagoon 6" x 6" Paper Pad with Alabaster and Icicle Embossing Powders
I stamped one of the snowflakes from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Swirly Snowflakes with 3 colours of Distress Oxide inks to match the colours on the Mermaid Lagoon paper and heat embossed with Brutus Monroe Icicle Embossing Powder
I stamped the snowflake again with Versamark ink, heat embossed with Brutus Monroe Alabaster Embossing Powder, sprinkled on some Stampendous Frantage Chunky White Embossing Enamel and heated from underneath until the powder melted to create a snowy effect.
I die cut an Altenew Fine Frames Rectangle from Simon Says Stamp #120 Ultra White card. The frames can be separated to create thin individual frames but I wanted it chunky, so I added double sided tape to the reverse to hold the frames together.
I die cut 3 of each of the 2 baubles using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Whimsy Decor Thinlits, fixed a small piece of Tim Holtz Sticky Grid Sheet on to the Stamp Platform to hold the baubles in place while I stamped the image from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Holiday Greetings with Faded Jeans and Twisted Citron Distress Inks on to the baubles. I coloured the bows with matching ink, tapped a Versamark ink pad over the baubles, sprinkled with Icicle Embossing Powder, heat set and repeated to create a smooth shiny surface.
I layered up the die-cut baubles with Distress Collage Medium Matte, added Tim Holtz/Sizzix Mini Foam Adhesive to the back and added to the frame.
I stamped the sentiment from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Christmas with Faded Jean Distress Oxide ink
and added Tim Holtz/Idea-ology Christmas Clippings Stickers
I trimmed 2 pieces of Simon Says Stamp #120 Ultra White card to measure 6.1/2" square, scored at 1/4" from the top on one piece to create a hinge, added double sided tape to this section, fixed the pieces together to create a card blank and fixed the panel in place with Distress Collage Medium Matte.
