Simon Says...Stamp it

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

STAMPtember is a very special month in Simon's calendar so the Design Team are all using the latest STAMPtember products. You don't have to use them to join in the challenge but if you have any Simon Says Stamp Brand products, we would love to see how you use them.
and the theme this week is...
STAMP IT

I began by trimming Distress Mixed Media Heavystock card to 5" x 7". I placed the card in my Splatbox, laid the Simon Says Stamp Square Dance Stencil on top and sprayed Distress Resist Spray randomly on the background. Once it was dry I sprayed with Rusty Hinge, Salty Ocean and Crushed Olive Distress Oxide Sprays from the new release. I dried the panel and used a clean cloth to remove the colour from the Distress Resist Spray areas.
I spritzed the back of the stencil with Black Soot Distress Oxide Spray and used it to create a monoprint effect on the panel.
I die-cut an aperture using Simon Says Thinking Of You Heart die from the STAMPtember release.
I stamped Bouquet Of Thanks with Versafine Onyx Black ink on to Distress Mixed Media Heavystock
coloured lightly with Distress Inks using a Distress Detailer Brush and die-cut using the matching Bouquet of Thanks die
I trimmed the panel down to 4.1/2" x 6.1/2" and matted on to a 5" x 7" card blank covered with black card. I inlaid the Thinking Of You Heart script section, cut a strip from the section I cut off the panel, matted on to black card and fixed in place across the bottom of the card. I fixed the die-cut flower in place with Tim Holtz/Sizzix Mini Foam Adhesive. I fixed Tim Holtz/Sizzix Adhesive Sheet to the back of black card, die-cut "always" using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Alphanumeric Thin Thinlits and fixed to the strip

  4. Scrumptious texture from the resist and the stencil print adds really cool definition. I just love that splash of turquoise providing contrast - a great card.
