Simon Says Stamp - STAMPtember 2020 Blog Party

Hi my friends, the month long 11th STAMPtember celebration of stamps, dies, stencils and more has begun over at Simon Says Stamp and you're invited to join in the fun.
Throughout STAMPtember, Simon Says Stamp will be celebrating every day, posting exclusive collaborations, contests, prizes, special promotions, announcements and even more surprises on the Simon Says Stamp Blog. To get the party started, there's a special STAMPtember BLOG PARTY  today over on Simon's Blog and I'm thrilled to be joining lots of my Simon Says friends to share lots of inspiration using the new products, click HERE to join the party and check out the list of participants. You will also find a promotional code on each blog participating in the party to receive a free gift with any purchase and you can check out all the fabulous new products from the STAMPtember releases HERE
I created a card using the Because Of You stamp set from the STAMPtember 2020 release to create a background along with Simon Says Stamp favourites from previous releases, the Extra Large Dots Stencil, C Z Designs Extra Large Thank You sentiment die and leaves from the Stronger Together stamp set and I couldn't resist using my favourite Distress Speckled Egg and Vintage Photo colour combo.

I began by trimming Distress Watercolor card to 5.1/2 square and applied Speckled Egg and Vintage Photo Distress Oxide inks through Simon Says Stamp Extra Large Dots stencil using mini round blending tools. I fixed Tim Holtz/Sizzix Sticky Grid Sheets to the back of the Distress Watercolor card and placed it in my Stamping Platform. I lined up the Simon Says Stamp Because Of You stamp set from the STAMPtember release on the watercolor panel, using the whole stamp set still attached to the cover sheet, fixed Sticky Grid sheet on the cover sheet, closed the Stamp Platform door allowing me to pick up the stamps and cover sheet. I inked the stamps with a mix of Speckled Egg and Vintage Photo Distress Oxide inks, stamped on to the watercolor panel, sprinkled with the matching Distress Embossing Glazes and heat set. I moved the watercolor panel up and re-stamped as before.
I used the shadow die from Simon Says Stamp Extra Large Thank You to create an aperture on the panel and die-cut the thank you words from the waste from the shadow die. I trimmed another panel of Distress Watercolor card to be slightly large than the original panel, coloured the centre with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink, spritzed with water to create that waterdroplet effect and fixed the stamped panel on top. I die-cut the thank you words twice more from Distress Watercolor card and layered with the stamped words on top to create a dimensional sentiment. I coloured a scrap of Distress Watercolor card with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink, stamped the leaves from Simon Says Stamp Stronger Together with the same ink, sprinkled with Vintage Photo Distress Embossing Glaze and heat set.
I fussy cut the leaves leaving a thin border around the edge, fixed to the panel using Distress Collage Medium Matte and added the thank you words back into the aperture. I coloured Tim Holtz Idea-ology Bouquet Findings Flower with Speckled Egg Distress Oxide ink using a Distress Detailer Brush and fixed in place with Distress Collage Medium Matte.
I decided to also colour the centres of the flowers with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink, matted the panel on to another panel coloured around the edges with Vintage Photo and fixed to a 6" square White Card Blank.

I'll be back soon to share another card created with Because Of You.
