Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because
and the theme for this week is...
BEAUTIFUL BLOOMS
I created a set of notecards inspired by the sunshine weather we've been having in my neck of the woods and a Wildflower Meadow in full bloom that I pass on my daily walk.
I began by die-cutting Tim Holtz/Sizzix Flower Field Thinlits from Distress Watercolor card and trimmed into separate pieces, slightly smaller widthwise than A2 cards. I coloured the leaf sections using Bundled Sage, Peeled Paint and Shabby Shutters Distress Re-inkers with a Distress Detailer Brush.
I coloured the flower heads in the same way using Kitsch Flamingo, Wild Honey, Fossilized Amber, Spiced Marmalade and Dusty Concord Re-inkers
I added splatters of Ground Espresso Distress Re-inker diluted with waterI trimmed Distress Woodgrain Cardstock to create 4 -A2 panels, spritzed very lightly with Antique Linen Distress Spray Stain and water. Once dry, I fixed the Flower Field Thinlits in place with Distress Collage Medium Matte and added the sun using Simon Says Build A Rainbow Stencil with Wild Honey Distress Oxide ink
I stamped the large sentiments from Simon Says Hello Sunshine stamp set inked with Black Soot Distress Archival and the smaller sentiments from the same stamp set, inked with Versamark and heat embossed with Ranger Superfine White Embossing Powder on to Alcohol Ink Black cardstock and die cut with Simon Says Nested Banners die.
I added Sizzix heart shaped sequins, inked the edges of the panels lightly with Walnut Stain Distress Ink and matted on to Simon Says Stamp Ivory A2 card blanks.
