A Spring Floral Arrangement

Hello my friends, I had lots of fun making a spring floral arrangement card using the products from Simon Says Stamp gorgeous Butterfly Blossoms April 2025 card kit. You can check out the contents of the kit, purchase individual items from the kit or suscribe to receive the kit each month HERE.

I used the floral images from Simon Says Stamp Butterfly Blossoms 6" x 8" stamp set, coloured with Tim Holtz/Ranger Ink Distress Ink using the Butterfly Blossoms Stencils included in the card kit, fussy cut and arranged in a wooden barrel die-cut with Tim Holtz/Sizzix Potted BigZ Die 664184.
I trimmed one of the Paper Rose Bees and Butterflies papers to 4" x 5.1/4" and added two strips of the Simple Stories Color Palette Warm Washi Tape, both included in the kit.
I stamped the 4 floral images from the Butterfly Blossoms 6" x 8" stamp set on to Distress Watercolor card, inked with Simon Says Versafine Clair Nocturne ink and dried ready for colouring.
I placed each panel on my Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Perfect Craft Tacky Mat.and used the matching Butterfly Blossoms set of stencils to colour with Pawsitively Saturated Pearfection ink on the leaves and a mix of Distress inks (linked below) on the flowers using Simon Says Round Detail Blending Brushes. The stencils have an etched reference number which matches the reference for each image on the stamp set.
There are dies available for this stamp set (linked below) but I don't have them yet so I looked out my trusty Tim Holtz/Tonic Studios Mini Recoil Snips and fussy cut. I also fussy cut individual flowers and stems from the images to fill out my arrangement.
To create the barrel, I die-cut Distress Woodgrain cardstock, coloured with Scorched Timber Distress Ink, Walnut Stain and Frayed Burlap Distress Oxide inks, using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Potted BigZ die. I die-cut the rings for the barrel from Tim Holtz/Idea-ology Metallic cardstock, sanded lightly with a Distress Sanding Disk, added shadows using a Walnut Stain Distress Crayon and fixed in place with Distress Collage Medium.
I fixed the barrel in place with 3D foam squares and arranged the flowers, some directly to the panel with Distress Collage Medium and others with 3D foam squares to create dimension.
I stamped the sentiment from the Butterfly Blossoms stamp set on to a scrap of Simon Says Honey cardstock, also included in the kit, inked with Versamark ink, sprinkled with Simon Says White Detail embossing powder, heat set, trimmed around the edge and fixed to the barrel with Distress Collage Medium and 3D foam squares on the portion overhanging the barrel. I also added a Tim Holtz/Idea-ology Screwhead to the ring on the barrel.
To finish I inked around the edge of the panel with Scorched Timber Distress Ink using a Tiny Blending Tool, fixed to Simon Says Honey cardstock, trimmed to 1/8" larger and matted on to an A2 white card blank. I fussy cut a butterfly from one of the Paper Rose Bees and Butterflies patterned paper and fixed in place with dots of Distress Collage Medium on the body only and once dry, pulled the wings up to create dimension.

I'll be back soon to share more makes, in the meantime, have fun with whatever you're making.
Hugs Kath xxx
