I
created a Spring themed card using the beautiful Big Botanicals 6" x 8" stamp set with two of my favourite Distress colours, Bundled Sage and Dusty Concord.I trimmed Distress Watercolor card to 4" x 5.1/4", smooshed Bundled Sage and Dusty Concord Distress Oxide ink pads on to the craft mat on my White Glass Media Mat and spritzed with water. I dragged the panel through the inks, dried and tapped back in to pick up the remaining ink droplets repeatedly until I was happy with the background.
I stamped the large tulip image, moths and small icon images from the Big Botanicals 6" x 8" stamp set, inked with Versafine Clair Nocturne and Dusty Concord Distress Oxide inks. I coloured the tulip image using Dusty Concord, Villainous Potion and Bundled Sage Distress Oxide inks and a Distress Detailer Water Brush.
I stamped the sentiment banner from the stamp set on to a scrap of Distress Watercolor card, inked with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink, coloured the centre with Dusty Concord Distress Oxide ink using the Distress Detailer Waterbrush, stamped the sentiment and fussy cut to leave a small white border around the edge. I fixed in place popped up on Simon Says Foam Squares and added the second sentiment using Simon Says Bold Birthday Acetate Sentiment Strips.
I re-stamped the tulip image, coloured as before, fussy cut and fixed in place with Simon Says Thin Foam Squares to create dimension.
I dragged the Versafine Clair Nocturne ink pad along the edges of the panel and fixed to an A2 white card blank. To finish I added Simon Says Pawsitively Black Dazzling Gems.
If you arrived from the very talented Caryn Davies, you are in the right place but if you happen to get lost along the way, the list of participants below will help you get back on track.
