Hello
my friends, if you've just watched the Live launching two new products from Tim Holtz and Ranger, Distress Texture Paste Twinkle, a translucent gloss paste with glitter flecks and Distress Snowflakes, a mix of
Distress Mica and Glitter, now available in a larger jar. I'm sharing two shaker cards I made using these two products along with Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Snowflakes Layering Stencil and Sizziz Christmas CutOuts and Bold Text Christmas Thinlits.

I began by applying Distress Paste Twinkle through the Snowflakes Layering Stencil on to an A2 panel of Distress Watercolor card. Once the paste was dry, I coloured the background with Evergreen Bough and Villainous Potion Distress Oxide inks using mini round blending tools and buffed the ink off the stencilled snowflakes with a dry cloth. I die-cut a aperture circle and the sentiment using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Christmas Bold Text. I popped out the alphabet letters and fixed acetate behind the letters and aperture. I fixed the coloured circle to the front of a white card blank, trimmed to 4.3/4" x 6" and added the houses die-cut from Distress Watercolor card using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Christmas CutOut Thinlits. I sprinkled the Distress Snowflakes on to the card, added foam strips to the back of the panel to create 2 separate shaker pockets and adhered to the card. I smeared a scrap of Distress Watercolor card with Distress Texture Paste Twinkle using my finger, sprinkled with Distress Snowflakes, die-cut the stars and tree from Christmas CutOut Thinlits and once the paste had dried fixed to the card with Distress Collage Medium.

On the second card, I coloured the A2 panel by smooshing the same colours of Distress Oxide inks to my media craft mat, spritzed with water, dragged the panel through the inks, dried, tapped back into the remaining droplets until I was happy with the coverage and die-cut using the Sizzix Christmas Bold Text Thinlits. I fixed a panel of acetate behind the word and applied Distress Texture Paste Twinkle through the Snowflakes Layerng Stencil as before. I trimmed the panel to 4" x 5.1/4" applied foam strips on the back of the panel, sprinkled Distress Snowflakes on to the bottom section of an A2 white card blank and pressed the top panel into place.
I added the remaining die-cut stars on to the second card.
I finished by adding Idea-ology Christmas Noel Remnant Rubs to both cards.
Tim Holtz/Sizzix Christmas CutOut Thinlits are sadly discontinued and if you don't already have them in your stash, I have linked alternatives below.
I'll be back tomorrow to share more cards made with the Distress Texture Paste Twinkle.
Hugs Kath xxx
