Tag You're It Challenge - Week 44

Morning Taggers......another great response to last week's challenge and lots and lots of beautiful purple tags....we really do appreciate that you take the time to join us each Friday and great work by everyone.  Remember to pop on over to TYI later when the winner of the fabulous Purple Onion stamps will be announced.

It's my turn for the challenge this week on  Tag You're It  and I thought we might
have a go at a sketch.....and I must confess I didn't know how to get one of those fancy 'puter generated thingies...so I just had to hand draw it and then take a pic.  My tag was inspired by a card from the fabulous Shari Caroll from Hero Arts and one of my crafting heroes.....I suppose my female version of TH.

Winter Sneaky Peeks

Wow.....have we had a snowfall......blizzard conditions this morning and "The Budster" and I were like abominable snowmen by the time we got home....in the front door and he does his usual shake.....we now have considerable snowfall in the hall and will he stay indoors.....just wants to rummage around in the garden...using his nose like a snowplough.....dogs are just like kids.....they love SNOW.    Not venturing out in the car today and it's just as well I know where it's parked because it is completely covered..just a big lump of snow.......don't you just love WINTER.

Now this is interesting.....

Oh....Mum...do I have to come inside?

Well my paint brush awaits so better get on with the sneaky peeks.....

And poor Mr Postie trudging through deep snow to deliver some delicious crafty parcels.....some fabulous new stamps from Penny Black and Hero Arts......can't wait to play but that darned paint brush is shouting it's head off....so must dash......catch up with you all tomorrow on Tag You're It.

I am beginning to think the old gal is losing the plot....I made 3 cards to upload to Anice and for the life of me I CANNOT find No.3.....I have turned The Cubby Hole upside down.....even emptied the waste paper bin and it is NOWHERE to be found.....don't it just drive you mad when that happens....I am now beginning to doubt my sanity...mind you folks have been doubting it for years....and maybe they were right.   One of life's little mysteries.

Back later with some sneaky peeks....a little behind this morning....I seem to have pulled a muscle in my back....there should be a Government Health Warning about the old painting and decorating malarkey..now don't get me started on that one but I wonder why my little friend in his little office hasn't yet issued guidelines for all make-over nuts like me......I feel like my body has seized up...maybe some stretchy exercises and a long soak in a nice hot bath will do the trick...but first wrapping up toasty and off to walk "The Budster" and yes we still have snow...in fact....it's blowing a blizzard right now and we have white out conditions......from your squeaky... creaky.... losing the plot...bloggy bud.....Hugs Kath xxxxx

2 Sketches 4 You Sketch 19

Just a quickie today folks.....and after a whole day painting door frames...skirting boards and doors with 15 glass panels.....I  am losing the plot big time so I just had to sneak away last night to the cubby hole for a little bit of crafting therapy and what better medicine than my favourite challenge.

The sketch this week on 2 Sketches 4 You is from Kazan and this week we are welcoming the new Spring Design Team.....wow I think we are in for more treats and lots of inspiration....looking  forward to seeing all their fabulous work.

And a little bit of hand stitching to finish off....I have tried stitching with my small craft sewing machine and my proper Singer.....which is years old and has helped me make curtains...cushions and clothes at one point but it is trying to get the tension right so I took a tip from one of my favourite crafters.....the lovely and very talented Peet ....click HERE for instructions from the expert and honestly....it didn't take too long...in fact probably less time than it takes me to thread the sewing machine and get the thread through the eye of the needle.....I tell you I am usually cross eyed doing that little chore....so it's hand stitching from now on for me.

Big apologies for yesterday's duff info.....me thinks that TH....is on QVC with Dawn Bibby next week....sorry folks got me dates a little bit mixed up......which is hardly surprising...sometimes I don't even know which day of the week it is.....Well must dash.....a paint brush with my name on it awaits.....back tomorrow with sneaky peeks......Hugs Kath xxxx

YES.....it's SNOWING !

Good Morning Folks and am I full of the joys of Spring.....it's been snowing overnight and we North East of Scotland folkies can now hold our heads up proudly...we have joined the rest of you snowy buds...have been a little bit miffed that you all had snow and we didn't.   I love SNOW and so does "The Budster"....I just know that this morning's walk is going to be a HOOT......me throwing snowballs and a hooligan dog trying to catch them.

It is now snowing heavily and the sky is grey.....by the looks of it ......it's on for the day. Wrapping up nice and toasty and off we go...probably a slipping and a sliding...but great FUN.

What's the Old Gal Been Up To

What have I been up to.....nothing too exciting I'm afraid ... the same old decorating......I am getting a little bit cheesed off with it all now.....new radiators were fitted on Sunday and I spent almost the whole day yesterday sanding down the hall...how I hate that job....dust everywhere and my hair...no chance of anyone running their fingers through it.....the ceiling needs doing and all the paintwork ...and then I can start on the walls in the family room and the hall....oh how I hate cutting in around all the doors....it takes for ever.....boy...oh boy....will it ever be finished.
The good news is that I did manage to escape for a little while yesterday afternoon.....out to my cubby hole my little haven of peace and quiet......need something to keep me sane in this mad decorating frenzy...... and you know gals Valentine's Day isn't far away so I had a little play with some yummy stuff from Craftwork Cards.  Have you seen their new range of clear stamps.....oooh...they are gorgeous...watch this space.

And just when you think you have some spare time to catch up with all your bloggy buds.....Mr Blogger starts acting up....don't know if it is just ME he doesn't like...or he was playing silly beggars with everyone...but BOY was he on a GO SLOW last night..so if I didn't manage to pay you a visit blame MR.B.....I will catch up with you soon.

I am decorating by day and crafting by night......DT stuff to get done and can I let you into a little secret..

I am gonna whisper because you never know who is listening...but Anice at Funky Hand will be releasing a new download soon and it's FABULOUS...working on some samples at the mo...will share later.

Well enough blethering from me...better get a spurt on and get some more of this decorating done because......I have a feeling that.....you know who....my idol...the King Himself ....the Prince of Papercrafting ....the one and only Tim Holtz is on QVC this afternoon with DB  ...a little bit of info stored away in the old brain...hope my memory ain't playing tricks on me .....a great excuse to sit down and relax with a cuppa.......and I am a little bit miffed....why have we missed out on the snow.....big hoohah on the weather forecast last night.....the North East of Scotland is bracing itself for severe snow overnight .....well woke up this morning to NOTHING....NIL....NADA....very windy and raining......catch up with you all later.....Hugs Kath xxxxxx

The Crafty Pad Challenge

Hi Folks.....well this is my last week as guest designer on "The Crafty Pad"...and where has the time gone....is this really the third week....and into the second month of the year already.....I have so enjoyed working with the "Faith" stamps and popping over to see all your beautiful creations.

Just a bit of simple embossing Cuttlebug style from me with the Swiss Dots Folder.....then gave it a bit of a sand to highlight the dots matching in with the dots on the flowers.
