Hi folks...it's going to be a short post today from this walking wounded member of the cubbyhole crew...I took a rather undignified nose dive onto a rather hard pavement yesterday...ripped the knee out of my trousers...dented my pride and hurt my wrist...it didn't help that I was in town and had to drive home...a bit of a nightmare changing gears with a swollen and very painful hand but with Christmas just around the corner...thank goodness it's not broken just badly staved...yes this old girl has used up yet another life but lived to tell the tale.
So I'm confined to barracks and planning a "light duties" kind of a day...crafting ain't easy with a dicky hand so I'm hopping over to join in the fun at
WOYWW followed by a lazy sofa session re-labelling a pile of Distress Inks.
See you all tomorrow
Hugs Kath xxx
Hope you're soon feeling better x
ReplyDeleteOh you poor thing, I bet your first thing was to look round to see who saw your fall, you feel so silly. Glad to hear its not broken but is just as painful and when you forget and reach out for something , ouch. Take it easy, I expect you will miss crafting but you will find a way to do something.

Hello Kath - oh no, I hope your knee and hand are soon pain-free - good job you've trained up Buddy to take over the cubby hole duties! Even if it's not broken it still hurts and I bet you hate 'taking it easy' when you've got things to do, thinking of you, hugs Mary G x

Both my mother and mother-in-love have fallen - doesn't make one feel dignified. But as long as you can get up and get going, can get past it. Get better soon!
ReplyDeletePoor you Kath, I think we are in the same club. So annoyed about my stamps. Fell down the stairs Monday, lucky I had plenty padding, nothing broken just a very achey body. You have a chill out day and maybe Mr Bouble could help you along!. Take care. Carolxx

Oh Kath - so sorry to hear about your mishap - it sounds very painful but I'm glad nothing is broken. Do take care of yourself & make sure you follow the doctors orders: these things have a habit of coming back to bite you otherwise.
ReplyDeleteMuch love & an ever so gentle hug from me.
Paula (PEP)
Oh no, do hope your wrist recovers swiftly and smoothly and that you get to actually use some of those lovely inks very soon! Happy WOYWW!

Ooh kath, sounds painful, hope it's only your pride that's bruised. Best to stay on the comfy sofa. I have quite a few TH inks that need a label too if you want a few more to do!!

ReplyDeleteHi Kath, sorry about the fall, it's so easy to loose your footing. The pavements are not the best sometimes, I tend to walk with my head down looking for any bumps.(haven't found any money yet!)Hope some painkillers help tonight and you get a good nights sleep.
ReplyDeleteMissed this post kath hope the wrist is ok
ReplyDeleteGoodness Kath that sounds like a painful trip. Hope your poor hand is on the mend soon. Glad nothing's broken though. Hope you can take it easy for a few days and let it get better.

ReplyDeleteHi Kath sorry to hear about your fall. I do hope your wrist heals quickly. I fell on my holidays full length on the floor. I was realy lucky to have not broken anything. It happens so quick, take care of yourself. Love and hugs x ChrisB
ReplyDeleteOh, Kath, I'm so sorry to hear you took a dive nowhere near the pool! Thank goodness, no broken hip or broken hand or broken anything. Broken pride is easily mended and I hope the knee and hand recover quickly. Take it easy and don't overdo! It would take me a couple of days to get there, but do you need me to come and walk Buddy? Darnell #54
ReplyDeleteOh, no!!!! And as we all get older falling over seems more shocking than in our younger days.
ReplyDeleteTake it easy and hopefully you will soon be back up to full speed. Buddy will just have to wait on you.... :)
Take care
Jackie and Bob
Hope you are feeling better soon. Love the destress inks. #111
ReplyDeleteOooh poor you kath! You have my total sympathy - I did the same thing a year ago while helping my daughter on her paper round (very short-lived). I needed some physio in the end as I couldn't grip too well and my knees were a total mess too. Enjoy resting up for a day or two.

Hope you are feeling better Kath. xx Jan
