Off on a tangent...

Hi folks...the first day of a brand new month and the cubbyhole crew are definitely in Christmas mode now but yesterday didn't quite go according to plan...we found ourselves sidetracked...now there's a surprise...off on another of our tangents and the cause of major cubbyhole mayhem....a simple little Christmas Tree decoration...well we thought it was going to be simple...

and it all started when I bought a new ironing board cover and felt pad...after trimming the felt to fit...I was left with this...
far too good to throw away so we abandoned the intended projects in favour of making a quick and easy Christmas Tree ornament...well you all know that famous last words feeling I'm sure...it took me longer to thread the needle to stitch the snowflakes than it did to make the whole project and how can something so simple need to use every available cubbyhole surface...
I'll see you all tomorrow to share some Fiskars Christmas inspiration

  10. One of THOSE projects - by the time you've found all you want the whole room is upside down. Looks good though.

  13. Lovely! Did you use a sewing machine for the red stars, or did you do it by hand?
