Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge-Transport It...

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog...thank you for joining us for last week's "Use Your Fave Tool" challenge...we hope you can join us this week too because...

and the theme for this week is...

TRANSPORT IT

I chose to decorate one of the new Stampers Anonymous/Tim Holtz Etcetera Small Tags...there are 3 tags in the pack...great value for the price and don't be fooled by the word SMALL...they measure 10" x 5.1/2" so lots of bang for your buck. I started off by giving the tag a quick coat of gesso...

and applied Ranger Texture Paste through the Woven Layering Stencil...

once it was dry I applied a thin wash of Tumbled Glass Distress Paint wiping it back a little from the textured areas. I die cut the Sizzix Tim Holtz Thinlits Globe from a paper scrap from the Tidings Stash Pad and fixed in place with Distress Collage Medium Matte...

I applied a coat of Distress Collage Medium Matte over the entire surface of the tag which prepares the surface for easy application and blending of the Distress Crayons. I used Tumbled Glass from Set 7 for the background...Gathered Twigs from Set 10 for the globe and textured areas and Picket Fence from Set 3 to highlight...

I used Layering Stencil Measured and Picket Fence Distress Paint applied with Cut 'n Dry to add some interest to the background.

I placed Tim Holtz Tissue Wrap in to the Misti and stamped the car image from Stampers Anonymous Vintage Auto with Black Archival ink and used Tim Holtz Idea-ology Block Lower Cling Foam Stamps and Ground Espresso Distress Paint dabbed on with my finger to create the sentiment.

I cut around the car image and alphabet letters and fixed them in place with Distress Collage Medium Matte...adding Idea-ology Label Letters and Quotations to complete the sentiment.

and it's amazing how the colours on the finished project look so different when you take photos in natural daylight as opposed to ones taken in the cubbyhole on a dark gloomy rainy afternoon...

I added Design Tape from the new Idea-ology Travel pack ...Special Delivery Remnant Rubs and highlighted the alphabet letters...globe and car image with the Signo White Uniball pen...

along with Idea-ology Ruler pieces and lots of gears highlighted with Picket Fence Distress Paint...
